Prior to relocating to Maryland, she held a faculty appointment at the Eilat Conservatory of Music in Israel. Dr. Grolman holds degrees in music education, cello performance, and musicology from University of Massachusetts, Wichita State University, and the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Former Chair of the Frostburg State University Department of Music, her solo and chamber music programming reflects a strong commitment to the music of historical and contemporary women composers. In addition to her teaching and performing activities, she is active in musicological research, specifically in the field of women composers. She is the author of
