ADAMS PIKE OUTDOORS Site updated 12-24-04 "PREMIER BOW HUNTING IN ADAMS, PIKE, BROWN AND HANCOCK COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS" These lands include cropland, thickets, food plots, and creek bottoms, and all properties are quality managed to produce the Big Bucks. By not having dollars tied up in tree stands, guides, cooks, and food; quality hunting can be kept at affordable prices. Several APO properties border other Illinois outfitters, who charge $500 - $1000 more to hunt the same deer. Hunters are allowed to hang their stands at a location of their choice, rather than being placed in a tree stand in an area that has probably been over hunted. APO will provide maps, up to date scouting reports and show you where the property lines are. APO offers quality Bow hunting on managed properties. Hunters can request any of the four counties (Adams, Pike, Brown or Hancock) which are all located in what is known as the "Golden Triangle" of West Central Illinois. Each Hunting party will receive their own tract of land to hunt. These tracts are divided up into 40-150 acre parcels. A group of 6 hunters will hunt on an average of 400 acres. A single hunter will hunt 40 – 100 acres, depending on the tract. Brown, Hancock and Pike County hunters will utilize area motels and be given a $125.00 credit on the cost of their hunt. Most Adams County hunters will stay in one of two lodges.

The 1955 Lincoln Futura Concept Car The Batmobile-to-be was the brainchild of Lincoln Mercury's postwar chief stylist, Bill Schmidt. Inspired by a scuba-diving encounter with a shark, Schmidt sketched a low, long, wide, and flat vision of the future with a predatory full width grille, ominously hooded headlights, and killer tail fins. Built by Ghia in 1955, the $250,000 dream car was dubbed the Lincoln Futura. It took just three months to ready the concept car for its debut at the Chicago Auto Show in January 1955. From there, the futuristic Lincoln was driven to a show in Detroit. On March 3rd, just before the NY Auto Show, with Benson Ford at the experimental steering wheel and Schmidt in the passenger seat, the Futura cruised from the United Nation's building through Central Park to the Tavern on the Green (restaurant) for a photo session. The Futura went on The Ed Sullivan Show , which Lincoln sponsored, then to a guest shot on Dave Garroway's TV Show.
