His reports are seen on the news broadcasts of KOTV Channel 6 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Scott's feature stories highlight people and places across Oklahoma, the nation and around the world. As a matter of fact, Scott's stories have taken him to every continent of the world except Antarctica. KOTV is perhaps the only television station in the country to devote newscast time to such feature stories. But these stories are different. They strike a familiar chord with viewers. The "Traveler" series continues to be a favorite with northeastern Oklahoma viewers, and a hit with the critics.
Scott kicked off his professional journalism career at his college radio station in 1980 and his hometown Illinois newspaper in 1982. In 1984, Scott joined KRCG-TV in Jefferson City, Missouri. He worked there for three years as weekend news anchor, producer, reporter, weather anchor and Lake of the Ozarks bureau chief. Scott moved to Tulsa in 1987, as a reporter for the local NBC affiliate. He joined KOTV in 1990.

The outspoken and unafraid comedian is now firmly settled back here in the city where it all started after achieving admirable success during seven years in La-La Land , most notably in his three years as a cast member of one of the greatest sitcoms ever produced, The Larry Sanders Show Kids in the Hall Thompson shared with me how he let all that anger go, plus we discussed the curse of Canada, why he left Hollywood, what he learnt there, and smacking Margaret Atwood in public with a big cock.
For now. Is Canada a better place for you? Yeah. Why? I think I have real career here. I work I always think of the word celebrity - as in celebrate - and feel Canadians have this awful thing against celebrating themselves. Cracks up. Go back to what you said about Canada being more accepting of you. Kids in the Hall As Good As It Gets and I lost to Greg Kinnear. I lost everything. The Julia Thompson Smith Chapel The chapel is the spiritual center of our campus and affirms the importance of faith in our community of higher learning. It is a place of worship and provides space for prayer, contemplation and worship.
- Chapel Mission Statement The Agnes Scott College Board of Trustees has selected Maurice Jennings + David McKee Architects (Fayetteville, Arkansas) to design the Julia Thompson Smith Chapel. The college’s first free-standing chapel will be a Christian chapel welcoming people of all faiths. The chapel will seat approximately 100, with the potential for expansion, and will include a meditation room for approximately 20, restrooms and storage space. It will be built in the area of the former Snodgrass Amphitheatre and May Day Dell and will be approached from the new Science Quad, the Alston Campus Center and the Science Center. Surrounding the chapel will be a beautifully landscaped garden that provides vistas and spaces for gathering and meditation.
Primary uses of the chapel will be for worship services, for meditation and prayer, and for small Bible and other religious study groups. Occasional lectures and concerts will be held in the chapel, and small weddings and memorial services will be accommodated. The Brombaugh Opus 31d organ, originally placed in the Thatcher Chapel, will be in the new chapel—a fitting location for this instrument, which is one of only six of its kind and will increase in value with the imminent retirement of John Brombaugh and the closing of his business.

Julia Thompson Smith Chaplain The Reverend Sylvia Wilson joined the Agnes Scott College community in 2003 as the interim Julia Thompson Smith Chaplain. Thatcher Chapel
Until construction of the new Alston Campus Center began, Thatcher Chapel on the second floor of the previous center was the site for worship and reflection at Agnes Scott. The chapel was named in memory of Mary West Thatcher, a trustee of the College from 1947 until 1971. The College plans to build a new separate chapel on a yet-to-be-determined site in the near future. The Alston Window
Thatcher Chapel featured a magnificent stained glass window given by the Class of 1952 in memory of Dr. Wallace McPherson Alston, Sr. Dr. Alston was the third president of the College serving from 1951 through 1973. He was an outstanding leader both in the academic community and in the Presbyterian Church, where he served in many capacities including a term as Moderator of the General Assembly. The Alston window has been carefully preserved and stored during construction of the new Alston Center. Agnes Scott College

Scott's Astrophotography ST: I have made myself a goal to get involved more in astronomy especially astrophotography. So far I have used my scope mostly for regular viewing. I have done some moon, planet, and sun photography. Practically no deep sky because I do not have a guidescope. However I am in the process of purchasing. AAS: Are you a seasoned amateur astronomer or just getting into the hobby? ST: I am by no means seasoned but I have dabbled off and on for four years. I had a sears refractor ever since I was 10 years old. However I never used it much. AAS: What was your first experience that attracted you to astronomy? ST: A planetarium experience when I was younger and then looking at Saturn's rings through that Sears Refractor. AAS: How about your family members; spouse? kids? significant other? ST: My wife says that it is an expensive hobby but enjoys the views through the scope every now and then. No children except our 20 lbs. cat.

Robert Scott Thompson: Frontier
Mirage
If you're one of those grumbling types, stop bemoaning the current state of Ambience, at least long enough to listen to Robert Scott Thompson's newest. If there were an Ambient Content Review Board, Frontier would have been released with a big label reading, "100% Pure". With more than 72 minutes of sonic travel to destinations unknowable, this is a disc that truly has a vast and evolving sense of place... Thompson builds his world with analog and digital synths, acoustic compilers, digital signal processing, electric guitar and electric cello. The liner notes do admit to influence by Eno, Fripp and Roach, but this is Thompson's take on classic ambience, resynthesized through his own able touch. I've developed a special affinity for this disc, as I've been quite overworked lately, and Frontier has been a perfect, non-intrusive accompaniment, allowing me to concentrate on work, yet feel "at home" in its dreamily meandering environment. It's pointless to try to describe such abstract sounds, but that's never stopped me before... Tiny warblings give way to steamy gusts in Cloud Fragments , our point of departure, which soon expands into a more spacious realm.

Robert Scott Thompson: Blue Day Interview
A busy, busy man... multi-genre composer, professor, publisher, etc., etc. Robert Scott Thompson has recently shared his Blue Day with the rest of us... This new disc rivals his notable earlier works such as The Silent Shore Frontier and Cloud Cover (as Fountainhead Many thanks to Robert for making time for this inteview! AmbiEntrance : Why the title Blue Day ? What are your general impressions of your work here? Thompson : This is a "classical" ambient recording. The title refers to the concept of introspection common to "blue days" - to my mind the title also connotes optimism as seen through the veil of ennui - as in "wild blue yonder" and "blue sky". AmbiEntrance : Some of the tracks are very long and some are very short... why the disparity in length? Thompson Also, there is an opportunity for the broadcaster to use the shorter works as segues and transitions. This was an attractive notion. Finally, this recording, in a way similar to The Silent Shore , invites the listener to make alternative orderings of the tracks to come up with other ways to experience the temporal flow of the disc.
