The spoof, created by student Thomas Scott, closely mirrors the official site and has a very similar address. "This could confuse people" claimed a Cabinet Office spokesperson, "and it detracts from sensitive advice". Despite these concerns the spokesperson told BBC News Online that the office would not be taking legal action. Mr Scott has already been asked by the Cabinet Office to remove the website but he refused, arguing that there was "not a chance" that people could be confused. I've received hundreds of emails and not one person has said they've been confused
Thomas Scott "You couldn't look at it for more than a few seconds without realising it's a joke" he says, "after all, the spoof site is from the 'Department of Vague Paranoia' and offers advice on zombie attacks and alien invasion." ANDERSON, THOMAS SCOTT (1830?-1868). T. Scott Anderson, attorney and Texas secretary of state, was born in Tennessee between 1827 and 1830 and moved to Texas in 1852. He began a law career in Austin, where he advertised his services in the local newspaper. In 1852 he served on the Provisional Railroad Association of Travis County. He was at one time a law partner of Horace Cone qv in Houston. Anderson served as secretary of state under Governor Hardin R. Runnels, qv beginning on December 22, 1857. In the gubernatorial election of 1859 Runnels lost to Sam Houston, qv and Anderson resigned his position on December 27 of that year. While Anderson was secretary of state, he married Mary McNeill Harper, on January 30, 1858. Shortly after their marriage the couple moved to Dallas, where they lived until 1860, when they moved to Columbus. Anderson served as a Colorado County delegate to the Secession Convention qv in Austin in 1861. On August 21 of that year Captain Anderson, now in the Texas State Militia, was mustered into the Confederate Army in Colorado County, with a rank of colonel. Anderson's Second Texas Regiment, a division of the Third Texas Cavalry, saw action in the Arkansas valley as well as in Tennessee, before Anderson assumed command of the Confederate Military Prison, Camp Ford, near Tyler. Once the war ended he moved back to Colorado County, to Eagle Lake, a town easily accessible to Galveston by train. He made frequent trips to the seaside city, at that time a thriving cultural and business center. Anderson died on September 25, 1868, at his home in Eagle Lake and was buried near the graves of Confederate soldiers who had died while encamped there.

SCOTT, WILLIAM THOMAS (1811-1887). William Thomas (Colonel Buck) Scott, legislator and planter, son of Thomas and Mary (Keller) Scott, was born in Wilkinson County, Mississippi, on December 14, 1811. His father had arrived with his widowed mother and other family members in Louisiana about 1808. After his marriage to Mary Keller, the family moved first to Wilkinson County and then to Copiah County, Mississippi. Thomas Scott never fully recovered from wounds he received at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815, and he died in 1823, leaving his widow and several small children. William Thomas Scott was forced to go to work at an early age at the store owned by Judge Buckner Harris in Gallatin, Mississippi. Hard work and perseverance resulted in his gaining a lucrative partnership with Harris. Profits from the business also enabled him to acquire land and additional capital. On March 8, 1834, he married Mary Washington Rose, daughter of William Pinckney Rose. qv William and Mary Rose Scott, along with her parents and others of the Rose and Scott families, immigrated to Texas in June 1840 and settled in Harrison County. Scott quickly acquired several large parcels of land and established five cotton plantations, including Scottsville Plantation, near Scottsville, a town he founded. He was the largest slave owner in the county. His production in 1859 of 356 bales of cotton was the largest in Harrison County. In addition to his agricultural pursuits Scott was a partner in a New Orleans cotton-brokerage firm. For several years before the Civil War

Neural Coding of Taste Activity and the Neural Bases of Eating and Reward We are using single neuron recording techniques to investigate the nature of the neural code by which taste stimuli are identified in rodents and primates. The taste code changes according to the experiences and physiological needs of the animal. We monitor those changes in cortical areas that are responsible for the pleasure of eating as we manipulate gastric, duodenal and circulatory factors associated with satiety. Thus we can determine how taste sensations and the rewards of eating are influenced by digestive processes. Recent publications Books:

FIRST FLIGHTS IN DIRIGIBLE BALLOONS
"The public disbelief in flight, however, extended only to heavier-than-air craft. Dirigible balloons, filled with hydrogen gas and fitted with engine, propeller, elevator, and rudder, were known to have operated successfully. Captain Thomas Scott Baldwin in the United States, Alberto Santos-Dumont in France , Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin in Germany, were building and flying airships without great fanfare or furor.
CAPTAIN BALDWIN MEETS GLENN CURTISS
Captain Thomas S. Baldwin, California's pioneer dirigible balloonist, brought Curtiss into the flying fold by ordering one of the lightweight Curtiss motorcycle motors for his nonrigid, gas-inflated, cigar-shaped airship. Baldwin built more than a dozen dirigibles, all equipped with Curtiss motors, and in the summer of 1908 delivered a specially constructed military model to the Aeronautical Division of the U.S. Army Signal Corps in Washington. With Baldwin operating the controls from the rear of the skeleton framework and Curtiss, balanced up forward, looking after the motor, the craft easily met government specifications in a two-hour flight over the Virginia countryside.
The New York World announced a prize of $10,000 for the first flight between New York and Albany. Two attempts by dirigible, one by Thomas Baldwin and one by George T. Tomlinson, had ended in failure.

Thomas Scott Thomas L. Scott established lasting standards of success and sportsmanship. He coached four sports and also served as athletic director during the first 11 years after ODU was founded as the Norfolk Division of The College of William and Mary,. Tommy Scott fielded winning teams in football, basketball, baseball, and track from 1930 to 1941 when he retired to a business career. He also taught trigonometry, algebra, and other courses. Playing on borrowed courts and competing on fields they built under Scott's guidance, Division athletes earned increasing success against a wide array of opponents. Many high schools appeared on early schedules but the competition became tougher as the years went by and the Division played college frosh and other two-year and four-year colleges. Scott's 1932 grid squad earned a 9-1 record and the distinction of playing in a post-season game that was billed the following year as the Orange Bowl. Twelve thousand fans saw the University of Miami beat the visiting Braves by a 6-2 score. The won-lost slate during the Braves' first six years shows the football team with a 44-12-2 record, basketball with 95-26, and baseball with 58-22.
