Why I Started This Site
After years of hearing my parents talk about their respective family trees, listening to suspicions about our roots and confusion about missing family ties, I decided to discover the truth about my family origins. The information here has taken years of determined effort to piece together. My thanks to the many internet friends I've made, without whose shared knowledge and genealogical records this site would not exist. I hope that in some small way this site pays them back for their generosity. If you have any questions about this site, want to add information about the family lines presented here, or believe that I have information that could help you in your own search, please don't hesitate to contact me Together we can discover more about our family than any of us could possibly discover on our own. By sharing our unique stories, we encounter long-lost cousins and other family connections that help each of us know a little bit more about our ancestors, their trials and victories, and what makes us who we are today.

William "Rusty" Russ
Alan Matthews on Boy Meets World

"Rusty" Russ stars as Alan Matthews, the blue-collar father with a wry sense of humor, on "Boy Meets World." Versatility is a trait that seems to mark much of Russ' life and career. The son of a Navy officer, Russ has lived in various port towns across the United States, attending many different schools throughout his childhood. In the early days of his acting career, he worked various jobs, from welding and shipbuilding in New Orleans, to waiting tables, tending bar, and driving a cab in New York. "Like Alan Matthews, I've been a blue collar worker," he observes. Russ has appeared in numerous feature films, television shows and movies for television, and has shared the screen with Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Burt Lancaster, Stephanie Zimbalist, Vanessa Redgrave, Lynn Redgrave, Rutger Hauer, Don Johnson, Ronny Cox and Jim Belushi. He co-starred with Belushi in "Traces of Red," and starred in "Pastime," the film that won the Audience Award at the Park City Film Festival. His television movie credits include "Trail of Tears" with Pam Dawber and Katey Sagal. He co-starred with Lisa Hartman Black in the ABC movie for television, "Have You Seen My Son." He also appeared in "Crazy From the Heart," and the critically acclaimed miniseries, "The Long Hot Summer."

Orphaned at the age of four, Bertrand Russell studied both mathematics and philosophy (with McTaggart ) at Cambridge University, where he later taught. As the grandson of a British prime minister, Russell devoted much of his public effort to matters of general social concern . He was jailed for writing a pacifist pamphlet during the First World War and attacked Bolshevism and Stalin in 1920, after visiting the Soviet Union. Russell supported the battle against Fascism during World War II but continued to protest Western colonialization and publicly deplored the development of weapons of mass destruction, as is evident in " The Bomb and Civilization New Hopes for a Changing World (1951), and his untitled last essay . Throughout his life, Russell was an outspoken critic of organized religion as both unfounded and deceptive; he detailed its harmful social consequences in " Why I Am Not a Christian " (1927) and defended an agnostic alternative in " A Free Man's Worship " (1903). Then he quit the aull store and formed the Allen, Russell, and Company with James S. Allen and William Early. In 1844, he opend another store with James H. Bullard called Bullard and Russell. The first store failed in 1845, but he had been able to purchase several lots in town and several thousand acres of farm land in the meanwhile. In 1847, he joined with E.C.
