Browse Al's Journal Archive Or Run A Search Previous Book Giants June 8, 2005 Look, I know what it's like to write a non-fiction book. It is HARD work. I used to scoff at these authors who would come on the Today Show and talk about the writing process and how tortured they'd be. Come on! You're writing a book, not saving the world. That's what I thought. That was before I actually wrote a book. Now that I have written my fourth, "Big Shoes: In Celebration Of Dads and Fatherhood", I am in awe of any author. And then there's fiction. Creating whole worlds out of whole cloth. Characters, plots, actions, finales, plot twists and resolution. WOW! So I was thrilled the other day when I got to interview three of my favorite authors. They all have written novels for young adults that are out this summer and they are the best at what they do. So I recommend you go out and get "Maximum Ride: Angel Experiment", by James Patterson, "Freddy and The French Fries" by David Baldacci and Walter Mosely's, "47".
