Runaway Robert tames The Freak His role in Prisoner fulfils a longtime dream for this young fan of the show Meet Robert Summers, the boy who has stolen the heart of The Freak (Yes, she does have one!). Robert, 11, is now appearing in Ten's Prisoner as runaway Shane Munroe, a lonely child who broke into the home of Joan Ferguson. For Robert, the television role is his third on the small screen as a runaway. He played a small part in Cop Shop last year as a troublemaker who refused to tel the police where he lived, and late last year he appeared in the ABC series Home as a runaway.
Working on Prisoner is fulfilling a dream for Robert, who has long been a big fan of the show. "I've always liked Maggie Kirkpatrick (she plays Joan) and Judy McBurney (Pixie) the most," he said. "Maggie is really nice. I didn't know what to expect after watching her as The Freak".

Maxine defends Sharon's lifestyle against Lizzie and Helen's criticisms, saying they are far too old to understand what it's like to be young. Sharon tells Helen she's to be charged with murder. Lucy is thrown out for hitting Joan after an argument over her dog, as Lucy is trying to prevent it revealing the hiding place of the drugs by sniffing around the sofa where she has hidden them. PRISONER Australian Prison Melodrama Prisoner , aired from 1979 to1986 in Australia and sometimes known in other countries as Cell Block H, is a triumph of the Australian television industry, a classic of serial melodrama. Prisoner was conceived by the Grundy Organisation for Network Ten. Reg Watson, in the senior ranks of Grundys, had just returned from Britain, where he had been one of the originators of the long-running serial Crossroads Prisoner) , and later some of the actors also visited women's prisons. Notice was taken of prison reform groups, whose desire for a halfway house for women was incorporated into the program. The result was a very popular longrunning serial, shown at night from 8:30 to 10:30, which only in its eighth year revealed signs of falling ratings. Prisoner became as controversial as it was popular. In its frequent grimness, pathos, sadness, toughness of address, occasional violence, and atmosphere of threat, it appeared very decidedly to be adult drama, its "look" spare, hard, dynamic. Yet ethnographic research pointed to Prisoner 's consistent appeal to schoolchildren, not least schoolgirls, perhaps identifying the harsher screws with cordially disliked teachers. It was not the favourite text of school principals, and was the subject of complaint by them.
