Christopher Lloyd
"Doc Emmett L. Brown" (1,2,3,Ride,Animated)
Christopher A. Lloyd BORN: October 22, 1938, Stamford, Conneticut STATS: 6'1", Brown eyes EDUCATION: Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. SPOUSE: Jane Walker Wood-Lloyd
CHRISTOPHER LLOYD , an actor whose performing credits include a wide variety of motion picture, television and theatrical roles, has been known to make magic on more than one performance. There are several actors who can be instantly identified to a single character role. For Lloyd, single character recognition is impossible. He has captivated both critics and audiences alike with his winning portrayals of quirky, off-beat characters; portrayals that have taken him to untold dimensions. Constantly astounding and amusing fellow cast and crew members with outrageous improvisation, his performances take on a variety of facial and body contortions that are unique only to Lloyd.
Christopher Lloyd grew up in nearby New Canaan and Westport. He was drawn to acting at the age of 14, and only two years later, was apprenticing in summer stock. At the age of 19, he moved to New York and began acting classes, most notably at the Neighborhood Playhouse with Sanford Meisner. Opting for the bright lights of the big city over college, he moved to New York City to study acting. Before long, off-Broadway became his new stomping grounds.
Christopher Lloyd has appeared in countless Broadway, New York Shakespeare Festivals, and off-Broadway productions. Among these are: "Happy End", "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (both opposite Meryl Streep), "Red, White and Maddox", "Kaspar", "The Harlot and the Hunted", "The Seagull", "Total Eclipse", "MacBeth", "In the Boom Boom Room", "Cracks", "Professional Resident Company", "What Every Woman Knows", "As They Put Handcuffs on the Flowers", "The Father", "King Lear", and "Power Failure".

Pope Christopher
(Reigned 903-904). Some hold that Christopher, once Cardinal-Priest of the Title of St. Damasus, a Roman and son of Leo, was an antipope St. Leo IX mentioned the preceding grants of Benedict and Christopher (Jaffe, Regesta RR. Pont., I, n. 4212). This privilege is the only one of Christopher's acts which is extant (ibid., 3532, 2d ed.). He became pope by forcibly dethroning his predecessor, Leo V , and putting him into prison, seemingly about October 903. As Leo appears to have soon died in his prison, Christopher may be regarded as pope after his death. One writer, indeed, Eugenius Vulgarius, who was interested in blackening the character of Sergius III, pretends that he murdered both Leo V Jafe, Regesta RR. Pont. (2 ed.), I, 444 sq.; Migne, P. INTERVIEW: Mindgames; Christopher Nolan Remembers "Memento" by Anthony Kaufman (indieWIRE/ 03.16.01) If you haven't heard of Christopher Nolan 's mesmerizing new film " Memento ," where the Hell have you been? You just don't get cooler movies than this newly dubbed "meta-noir," a thriller as pleasing to the intellectual reader of relativity theory as your average fan of revenge fair from " Point Blank " to " Payback ." He's got no short-term memory, so every step he takes, he must take it again. He scribbles down notes, takes Polaroids of everyone he meets, and tattoos facts on his body. He proceeded to Oxford, entering Queen's College, of which he became provost in or before 1495, being about that time admitted LL.D.; he became later a liberal benefactor to his college. He held a number of benefices , including the treasurership of the Diocese of London, on Henry VII's presentation, and Master of the Rolls, a post he held till his elevation to the See of Durham, which took place in 1507, nominated thereto by the king, who restored the temporalities of the see to him. He was consecrated on 12 December. This see he held but a short while, being translated to York the next year by a papal Bull dated 20 September, 1508. In 1509 he was sent by Henry VIII as his ambassador to Rome. Julius II created him a cardinal on 10 March, 1511, giving him the title of St. Praxedis, in reward for negotiating Henry's adherence to the pope as against France, for which country he felt a strong antipathy all his life. As cardinal he was commissioned by Julius to lead a military expedition against Ferrara, which he successfully besieged. He endeavoured to secure from

Christopher Nolan's first film since his limelight-grabbing, a-chronological indie hit Memento (2000) is blessed with a cast headed by three Oscar winners: Al Pacino as an LA detective investigating a murder in Alaska, Robin Williams as a reclusive novelist, and Hilary Swank as a local cop. And yet watching Insomnia is like playing crazy golf with Tiger Woods. The whole is far less than the sum of the parts, which is a pity because Insomnia could have taken us to unfamiliar places (it is set in one - a small Alaskan town). But maybe we should be wary of asking too much of Nolan. After all, this 32-year-old Brit has in the space of four years moved from the humble origins of the self-financed mini-feature Following (1998) , shot over several weekends on the streets of London, via critical and cult praise for Memento , to this glossy (if glassy) thriller, a remake of a Norwegian film from a few years back. Perhaps it was all he could do to catch his breath.
