I'm a mature, outgoing, old school romantic. Who likes to write poetry and perform funny antics. I`m alive, healthy and thankful to Allah/God- For blessing this child and sparing the rod.
I am searching for a LADY a significant other, For a casual, serious or something other. Casual friendship first.... then if God/Allah so chooses, A serious relationship where neither of us looses.
We`d enjoy spending QUALITY time together, She`d be attractive, sensuous, an independent mother. She would ALSO enjoy just like I do, Experiencing exciting adventures and never be blue.
movies, weekend trips, Kissing with soft warm sensuous lips. Age would not matter if her heart were filled with love, Her beauty would mirror that of God from above.
Weight could wait if she fit in my arms, Where I could protect her from all life`s harms. When we stand side by side her height would be right, If she`s single, divorced or widowed she`d be my guiding light.

TO THE LEWIS FAMILY OF BROMSGROVE, WORCESTERSHIRE, AND LATER OF HANDSWORTH, STAFFORDSHIRE. This is the "official" web site of the Lewis' who lived in Bromsgrove until c.1810 and then moved to Handsworth, where they stayed until the 1880's before moving to the Home Counties.

Richard LEWIS.
Last updated 12th September 2004 at 5 pm The LEWIS family which was living in the Bromsgrove area in the 18th Century were mainly comprised of agricultural labourers, and had probably been living in the area for centuries; the Welsh derivation of the surname suggests an earlier migration along the ancient drovers' roads from the Welsh Marches.
My interest in the family starts with Richard LEWIS (1731-1796) and his son Martin LEWIS (b. 1771) - Martin was a Sergeant in the Worcestershire Militia.
My current lines of research are to find where, when and how Martin LEWIS died, and to find out more about the Lewis' who grew up in Handsworth in the early 19th Century.

165. The Literary Gothic | Matthew Lewis
Short essay on the novelist, poet, and playwright. Annotated links.
http://www.litgothic.com/Authors/lewis.html
Lewis, Matthew G.
9 July 1775 - 10 May 1818
Like Mary Shelley , Lewis made a huge impact with his teenage (and only) novel The Monk , which more or less defined the far edge of sensational Gothicism when it was published in 1796. Indeed, the notoriety of the novel was such that Lewis was forever after known as "Monk" Lewis, and the fact he served as a Member of Parliament only heightened the shock value. Lewis went on to write a number of plays, poems, and translations, many of which featured Gothic themes and motifs. As a playwright Lewis was rather successful, his melodramatic flair finding an appreciate audience in the days of Romantic drama, although Lewis abandoned the theater when he inherited his family's West Indian sugar plantations.
This unattributed etching of Lewis (you can see what may well be the source by clicking on the "Portraits" link at left) served as the frontispiece to The Life and Correspondence of M. G. Lewis , London: Henry Colburn, 1839.
Sites: Biographical essay [Stuart Sim, U Sunderland; Literary Encyclopedia] Biographical note Emphasizes The Monk (naturally) and notes Lewis' influence on a number of other writers. [Keith Parkins]

Lewis Cass
by R.D. Monroe, Ph.D.
Lewis Cass (1782-1866) was born in Exeter, New Hampshire, and attended Phillips Exeter Academy. He moved to Ohio, studied law, and set up a practice. He served a single term in the Ohio legislature. He joined the militia in the War of 1812, rising to the rank of major general of volunteers. He was appointed governor of Michigan territory in 1813, and remained in that position until Andrew Jackson tapped him to be secretary of war in 1831. Cass presided over Jackson's grim Indian removal policy. He was later minister to France and a contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1844. Michigan elected Cass to the U.S. Senate in 1845, where he was a generally reliable supporter of President James K. Polk . He ran for president again in 1848 on a popular sovereignty platformCass advocated allowing the people of the territories to decide whether to permit slavery. He was defeated by Whig candidate Zachary Taylor . He returned to the Senate in 1851 and served until his defeat in 1857. President James Buchanan appointed Cass secretary of state, and he served until Buchanan's weak leadership in the secession crisis prompted him to tender his resignation. He retired to Detroit where he died the year after the conclusion of the Civil War.

Crystal Lewis - ChristianMusic.com Crystal Lewis Crystal's musical career began at the very young age of four when she sang in her father's church. After a few short years, she had her first professional gig after landing a role in the musical, "Hi-Tops." Her first album shortly followed. In 1992, Crystal Lewis decided to bring her talents into the business world and formed Metro One Music with her husband, Brian Ray. They signed artists and soon created a reputation for the label as one of originality, giving their artists the freedom to express themselves musically in a way not yet accepted by the Christian industry. Crystal Lewis now resides in Southern California with her husband, business partner and producer Brian Ray, and their two children. She continues to pursue her calling of bringing the message of hope, life, peace and love through the Gospel to as many people as possible. Lewis Mumford
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Lewis Mumford Lewis Mumford October 19 January 26 ) was an American historian of technology and science , also noted for his study of cities . Mumford was influenced by the work of Scottish theorist Sir Patrick Geddes Mumford's choice of the word "technics" throughout his work was deliberate. To say simply that Mumford referred to technology as technics, as though they were synonyms, is wrong. For Mumford, technology is one part of technics. Technics refers to the interplay of a social milieu and technological innovation - the "wishes, habits, ideas, goals" as well as "industrial processes." As Mumford writes at the beginning of 'Technics and Civilization', "other civilizations reached a high degree of technical proficiency without, apparently, being profoundly influenced by the methods and aims of technics." Mumford was also a contemporary and friend of Fred Osborne and Vannevar Bush

THE ART AND IDEAS OF WYNDHAM LEWIS
An outline of the significance of the artist and writer, Wyndham Lewis, the leading figure of the artistic and literary movement known as Vorticism PERCY WYNDHAM LEWIS was born in 1882 on a yacht off Nova Scotia of an American father and English mother. This beginning is significant. Lewis was to become a key figure of the English intellectual, artistic and literary avant-garde of the first half of the twentieth century, and few of this talented circle were English. Lewis was Anglo-American, Ezra Pound and T S Eliot were American, W B Yeats and James Joyce were Irish and Gaudier-Brzeska was French. In 1888 the family came to England and Lewis attended Rugby and the Slade, both of which asked him to leave. An outsider, he escaped Edwardian England to live a bohemian existence in the artistic capitals of continental Europe. Fired by the examples of Cubism, Futurism and other modernist experiments, he returned to England and an explosive artistic future.

    RETURN LEWIS CARROLL
The Influence of Lewis Carroll's Life on His Work
by Brady     Many aspects of Lewis Carroll's life influenced his writing. Some of these aspects include his mathematical background and logical disposition, interest in and photography of little girls, abnormal eating habits, dual personality, sleeping difficulties, Victorian lifestyle, and neglected childhood. These characteristics of his life are reflected in his literature, including in his most well-known novel, “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland”.     Carroll was always an extremely logical man, constantly inventing more effective methods to complete a task. He invented the Nyctograph, for taking notes in bed at night and devised unique memory aids. He wrote a letter to Charles Babbage advising him on how to improve his calculating machine. Carroll also improved the hectograph, the Hammond Type-Writer, and Edison's electric pen. At one of his dinner parties, Carroll drew up a plan of the seating arrangements and who would be escorting whom, and listed the numerous advantages of his new seating method.     Carroll invented a rule for finding a day of the week for any date, rules for wining in betting, more fair elimination rules for tennis tournaments, improved systems of parliamentary representation, and a scale for measuring liquor. He thought up many card, croquet, and word games including games of logic, Synergies, and Doublets, which is similar to a modern form of Scrabble. Carroll excelled in origami, enjoyed chess, and invented a travel chessboard. He also ordered five different sizes of notepaper so he would have the right size for each letter.
