Muchos se salvan, pero después se apartan. (Luc. 8:13; Jn. 6:66; 1 Tim. 1:19; etc.). En otras palabras, después de la salvación inicial debemos perseverar hasta el "fin" para entrar al reino de Dios y escapar del lago de fuego. (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Apoc. 2:10,11). La vida eterna llega al arrepentido en el momento en que crée en Jesús para salvación (Jn. 3:16; 6:47; 1 Jn. 5:12,13), pero hay otro aspecto importante de la vida eterna del que muchos no están concientes en nuestro tiempo por las falsas enseñanzas de seguridad eterna. De acuerdo a la verdadera enseñanza de la gracia, la vida eterna es también una ESPERANZA (Tito 3:7), todavía por ser COSECHADA (Gal. 6:8,9) en el SIGLO VENIDERO (Marc. 10:30) sólo para aquellos que PERSISTEN EN HACER EL BIEN (Rom. 2:7) y NO SE DESANIMAN Y DAN POR VENCIDOS (Gal. 6:9).
