    FILMOGRAPHY
QUOTES NAME: Cheryl Ladd BORN: BIRTH PLACE: South Dakota, USA
    BIOGRAPHY
Born Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor, to an engineer father and waitress mother, she dreamed of becoming a movie star, and took tap lessons and sang at home with her dad. In high school, she played in a jazz trio, Music Shop Band, which travelled from the Midwest to California, to try and make it professionally.
When the group broke up, Ladd decided to stay and chase her dream. Her first real gig was singing backup on the cartoon show, 'Josie and the Pussycats'.
After acting in commercials, she landed a role in a 1973 movie, 'Jamaica Reef', and met her first husband, David Ladd. They married in 1973, and two years later, their daughter, Jordan, was born. The marriage lasted six years.
In 1977 she was scouted by 'Charlie's Angels' producer Aaron Spelling to replace Farrah Fawcett, who had unexpectedly left the year-old sensation. Petite, but with plenty of spirit, Ladd was a hit as Kris Munroe. "She had to fill a big pair of shoes, and she did it with confidence," says co-star Jaclyn Smith. After her 1979 split, Ladd found romance with Scottish-born Brian Russell, who had cut two 1970s pop albums before turning to movie producing in the 1980s.

In-Service Day: An Award-Winning Formula for the University Library
by Ladd Brown, Ellen Krupar, Nicole Auer, Chris Peters, Brenda Hendricks
    Introduction
Two years ago the Southeastern Library Network (SOLINET) created the Outstanding Library Programs Awards, designed to "recognize the exceptional efforts of libraries and groups of libraries in the Southeast" in the areas of Continuing Education and Staff Development, Preservation and Electronic Information, and Multi-Type Library Cooperation. Last spring, the University Libraries (UL) Staff Training and Development Program at Virginia Tech was named an Outstanding Library Program in the Continuing Education and Staff Development area. The largest and most ambitious-and arguably most fun!-part of Virginia Tech's training and development program is the In-Service Day (ISD). The ISD was developed as a biennial opportunity for UL faculty and staff to participate in one daylong event structured around activities and sessions both educational and entertaining. The ISD is a complex happening: it can be a staff development, team-building, continuing education, and personal development "fair" interspersed with a social event or two. It is also a chance for a library staff to relax, take a step back from the frenetic pace of work, and see where their roles and accomplishments fit into the bigger picture.

    Rice Room
August 25, 2004 Members Present: Larry Ladd, Chris Reece, Ed Merck, Jerry Gabert, Will Saunders, Darwin Smith, Jerry Gabert, Florence, Einhorn, Glenn Charbonneau Ladd gave a brief history of the Rice Room as well as the story behind Rice and Greeley and the AUA / UCA merger in 1961. Quick introductions were done as Einhorn was not at the April meeting. Added to last meetings notes: As amended, Merck questioned the meeting notes Capital Campaign funding. We wanted to make sure there was clear reporting as to the actual costs and the sources of the campaign. Also, clear reporting for comparison purposes as to the types of funds raised. It was discussed that using unrestricted funds for raising restricted funds is not exactly a one-for-one match. Merck said it easy to lose focus of exactly what the campaigns are for. Change spelling of Reese to Reece. Larry is still happy. MSP: Approve the minutes as amended.

Mind the Gap: Youth and Young Adult Ministry Sunday
A part of the Campaign for Unitarian Universalism We invite all congregations in the United States and Canada to hold a Mind the Gap: Youth and Young Adult Ministry fundraising service one Sunday this church calendar year (September 2002 - May 2003). This campaign is a continental-wide effort to raise 2 million dollars to generate grants, curriculum, trainings and other resources for youth, campus and young adult ministries in congregations, in districts and on the continental level. In order to reach our goal congregations are asking for an average donation of $50 per person. It is not too late to get involved! Please urge your congregational leadership to put this on your worship calendar.

Chris Ladd '05 Chris is the webmaster . He is master of all dynamics webs. He also lives in a very nice house, and has a milk allergy. This makes the video at left just a little more sad. He is majoring in Communications. NOTE: If you haven't already, be sure to turn OFF the lovely music from the site BEFORE watching this lovely clip. Otherwise you'll get confused. (There's an off button on the top right-hand side of the page.)
