King is putting this story on-line, a piece at a time for a buck a pop. Details here. An electronic only novella, Riding the Bullet , is now available. Amazon.com (among others) is carrying it. According to the official site, if all goes well, the next Dark Tower book will be released sometime in 2001. It is currently unnamed. King's next book is a non-fiction book on writing, called (appropriately) On Writing Blood and Smoke , an audio cassette only release of three short stories written and read by King, is now available. Hearts in Atlantis , a collection of stories, is now available in hardback. The audio cassette is also available. Stephen King was hit by a van on June 19, 1999 and was in serious condition, with a broken hip and other problems. On July 9, he was released from the hospital.
