    JOHN F. KENNEDY QUOTES
    by Mark Lugris
Undoubtedly the most beloved President of our time, John Fitzgerald Kennedy is remembered mostly through his words. Our collection of John F. Kennedy quotes celebrates the ideas and insights of our 35 th President. Born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts, JFK was the second oldest of the Kennedys' nine children. A deeply competitive child, JFK excelled in English and History at Choate, the boarding school he attended. "For of those to whom much is given, much is required" John Fitzgerald Kennedy quotes (American 35th US president (1961-63), 1917-1963) Add to my book show_bar(167510,null,'for_of_those_to_whom_much_is_given-much_is') In 1936, JFK enrolled at Harvard with his older brother Joe. Although Joe was considered more likely to succeed in family circles, Jack surprised everyone when he took a strong interest in politics and world affairs after his father was named ambassador to England. "Domestic policy can only defeat us; foreign policy can kill us"

    John F. Kennedy Jr.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States. He was the youngest president ever to be elected, the first Roman Catholic president, and the first president to be born in the 20th century. Although, he didn't get the chance to live out his term and possible another one, he impacted the entire world. No other president was so popular, especially with the young people.
John F. Kennedy was born May 29th, 1917, child of Joseph P. and Rose Kennedy. John had eight brothers and sisters: Joseph P. Jr. (1915), Rosemary (1918), Kathleen (1920), Eunice (1921), Patricia (1924), Robert F. (1925), Jean (1928) and Edward M. (1932). All of the children were born in Brookline, Massachusetts. They were all very competitive due to their parents. The only thing that was important to them was winning.
John grew up in the nineteen twenties and thirties at his birth place of Brookline, Massachusetts. John had once stated, "life is unfair,"1 yet for him the statement was definitely not true. His childhood consisted of many things. Coming from a wealthy family let him have the freedom to do what most kids couldn't. That still didn't keep him from behaving like other kids. He and his brothers and sisters all participated in things such as sailboat races, tennis matches, or even just a simple game of touch football.

    Quotations:
"It is my firm belief that there should be separation of church and state as we understand it in the United States that is, that both church and state should be free to operate, without interference from each other in their respective areas of jurisdiction. We live in a liberal, democratic society which embraces wide varieties of belief and disbelief. There is no doubt in my mind that the pluralism which has developed under our Constitution, providing as it does a framework within which diverse opinions can exist side by side and by their interaction enrich the whole, is the most ideal system yet devised by man. I cannot conceive of a set of circumstances which would lead me to a different conclusion." letter to Glenn L. Archer, 23 February 1959 "Whatever one's religion in his private life may be, for the officeholder, nothing takes precedence over his oath to uphold the Constitution and all its parts including the First Amendment and the strict separation of church and state."
