September 10, 1996 The meeting opened at 8:45 AM Opening Remarks - Joseph Mitola III Mr. Mitola reviewed the history of the MMITS Forum to date and presented an allegory cautioning Forum participants to be patient and cooperative and not merely try to protect proprietary interests. Motivation - Mark Cummings Mr. Cummings reviewed the motivation for the MMITS Forum giving the rationale for the formation of the Forum from the perspective of the equipment suppliers, carriers, and government organizations that created the Forum. The equipment suppliers are concerned with market issues including reduced time to market and increased profitability, the carriers are seeking faster growth with lower risk and higher profitability, and the government groups want improved effectiveness with off-the-shelf capabilities.

HOME LAST UPDATED: Wednesday, January 23, 2008 Welcome to The Jim Cummings Band Website!!! There are two things that set The Jim Cummings Band apart from other great bands. The first is, every member of JCB is a true master of his instrument. From a technical, pure musicianship point of view, each member is the definition of a musician's musician. The Jim Cummings band is led by no other than - Jim Cummings! His soaring blues-edged vocals, in the groove bass lines, and band leader, make this an exceptional band to listen to. His years of experience includes working with bands such as The Beach Boys, The Tubes, Edgar Winter, Gregg Allman, Brian Auger, Alice Cooper and many more. Jim also has appeared on countless national recording sessions, film scores and starred in touring productions of Jesus Christ Superstar as Jesus, and The Little Shop of Horrors as the Plant, Miss Saigon as the Pimp, My Favorite Year as Alan Swann and more. Site Map Timeline Syllabus Special Offers ... Book Reviews The Life and Trial of Frank James Chapter 8 The eighth day of the trial: The trial commenced by calling back to the stand Mr. D. Brosius, the lawyer, who was on the robbed train and who had declared the defendant to be not one of the men, the purpose of recalling him being to question him as to whether he had not at stated times and places told divers persons that the whole affair on the train occurred so quickly that he could not describe any of the men and didn't even know what they looked like. His answers to all of these questions were in substance that he had always declared he couldn't give a description of the men as he could not now, and that being chaffed and joked with on all hands after the robbery he might have stated that the robbers were fifteen feet high and that they had revolvers four feet long. Boyd Dudley, an attorney, testified that Brosius told him just after the robbery that he saw but one man, who was fifteen feet high, and that he thought there were others. On cross-examination witness stated his office was with Circuit Attorney Hamilton, who was prosecuting the case.

Local News Local News PUBLISHED: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 Board approves handicap parking downtown
By Jeff Bergren Editor
BOYNE CITY - In an effort to improve the accessibility for handicap and senior citizens in the downtown area, the City Commission approved the installation of two handicap parking spaces at the intersection of Park and Water streets on Jan. 8. Advertisement City Commissioner Mike Cummings, 62, led the charge, which is his first motion to pass since his election on Nov. 8. The project is scheduled for completion on Apr. 30, 2008. The city will utilize the angle parking spots at the Park and Water streets location. Currently, the closest handicap parking resides at the library and City Park, a block and a half away from the downtown area. "While campaigning, I ran into two people who where handicapped. Both of them said they would love to come downtown but there was no handicapped parking," Cummings said. "When I approached City Hall before I was elected I was told it was not in the plans. "It hadn't even been considered. Once I got elected to the commission I saw there was a need and the accessibility points that we had were at Ace Hardware and Boyne Country Provisions."

About the filmmakers
Steve Kelly
Steve Kelly received his BFA in painting from the University of Montana. For nearly 15 years, he has been a valuable member of the St. Louis arts and media community. Steve is a media professional, a documentary producer, artist and educator. Steve's films and paintings have been shown both locally and nationally. Prior to "Tour de Donut: Gluttons for Punishment," he directed the cinematography for a short documentary film, "Stan Kann — The Happiest Man in the World" (2005). The film screened on St. Louis PBS as well as at several national film festivals, including AFI's prestigious Silver Docs festival in Washington, D.C. Steve also co-produced and directed "This Means Something" (2004), a short film about the meaning of life that was featured at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in 2004 and a number of other national festivals.
Jim Klenn
Jim Klenn has been writing stories ever since he can remember, and a few years back he decided he wanted to write and produce short movies. Robert Rodriguez’s book “Rebel Without A Crew” inspired him to "get off my ass and put together a 6-person crew and 2-person cast for a 3-minute short that has been in post-production for a couple of years." Then Jim had the good fortune of working with a couple of great teams for the 48 Hour Film Project in St. Louis. He wrote the scripts for “The Seven-Minute Film Project” in 2004 and “Eventide” (which won the Best Screenplay award) in 2005.

    The Early Years (1989 - 1991)
Two outdoor recycling depots were held during this first year, and in November a "group of avid recyclers" (as described by Chair Joyce Agar) gathered to form a new organization: the Westman Recycling Council. Among the other early members were Linda Boys, Vern Gilbertson, Janet Kennedy, Dick Menon, Eldon Schmitz, Vic Sharpe, Angus Sneesby, and Donna Young.
The organization was incorporated in February. The Kiwanis Club of Brandon was an important early contributor of money and volunteer help. Materials were shipped from communities in the Westman area; our beginning as a regional recycling centre. A grant from Environment Canada enabled an education program along with a weekend depot with Bob Braun hired as a contract person to organize the expanded event.
A joint City of Brandon / Manitoba Environment grant enabled a year-long program of weekly depots on the Brandon Shoppers Mall parking lot. David McConkey was hired for a one-year contract as co-ordinator. (Eight years later, I'm still here!) The depot was open every Saturday in conjunction with Manitoba Soft Drink Recycling. Only the basicmaterials (newspapers, glass, tin cans, and beverage containers) were accepted. The ribbon was cut in June by Deputy Mayor of Brandon Jim Reid and Province of Manitoba representative Jim McCrae.
