The 40-year-old actor — who has appeared on Broadway in Assassins, Urinetown, Jane Eyre, Carousel, Cyrano - The Musical and Beauty and the Beast — had been indicted on nine counts of engaging in criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. The woman, now 20, came forward earlier this year before the five-year statute of limitations expired. At the hearing, Assistant District Attorney Maxine Rosenthal reportedly said that prosecutors were also aware of a second case in which Barbour was alleged to have had sexual contact with an underage girl, in California seven years ago. No charges pertaining to that allegation can be brought in New York City, Rosenthal has said, but it could impact Barbour's possible trial. Ron Fischetti, the attorney handling the case for Barbour, could not be reached for comment.
