Committee to Review Australian Studies in Tertiary Education
Supported Pages Current Supporters Former Supporters Foundation Supporters Financial support for work on the Guide to the Archives of Science in Australia came from three sources. The project was initially funded by a grant from the Committee to Review Australian Studies in Tertiary Education (CRASTE) in late 1987. CRASTE was established by the Commonwealth Department of Employment, Education and Training in connection with the Australian Bicentenary celebrations of 1988. Though it was realised from the outset that this grant would not be sufficient to see the task completed, it did allow the collection of a significant amount of data and the establishment of a database system to handle the information. A grant from the Helen M. Schutt Trust in late 1988 allowed for the further collation of data and its entry into the database. Then in late 1989 the National Centre for Research and Development in Australian Studies (now the National Centre for Australian Studies) at Monash University provided sufficient funds to see the remaining data processed and the output prepared for publication. The National Library of Australia also provided funds to allow work to continue on the database, specifically the collation and assemblage of data in a format suitable for use on the OZLINE network.

Hard Copies of such records are available for viewing and duplication during normal library hours. This compilation is from the notebooks of Amy Gavette and was done in the 1960s . It was manually typed on typing paper. Needless to say some of it is faded and coping it is difficult. If dates don't match you may have to go to the Roxbury Library and see the originals, they too are starting to fade. This is not a public library, they run on support from their patrons and the History room is run by donations, and for such a small room it is packed full of information on the town of Roxbury and some Delaware county information. Course Organization: Class Discussion and Seminar Presentations. Course Evaluation: Students are evaluated on two aspects of the course: class performance (based on discussion of assigned readings and presentation of a research topic), and their final paper (an essay of approximately 20 pages in length on a topic of the student's own choosing but reflecting adequate historiographical review and analysis of research issues). Evaluation is broken down into the following proportions: Participation Seminar Presentation Research Essay (due December 7, 1998)

**For information about the Noyes family there are web sites located at: http://noyes.rootsweb.com and http://www.gencircles.com/users/noyes/1 Oak Hill Cemetery - Excelsior, Minnesota This cemetery is in fair shape. Much of the cemetery is situated around a large steep hill. At the top of this hill is a circular area with burials only in half of the area. Based upon the dates of death this section was opened much later than the main cemetery that surrounds the hill below this point. I suspect that the large Civil War statue which is situated in the newest area of this cemetery once stood upon the hill. This cemeteries burial monuments were transcribed in July 2001. A genuine church is composed of souls moving with like minded faith as one, unified with a common focus, goal, and purpose. This page is dedicated to the virtual heart and soul of the Kingdom. Led by a man who could attract and captivate the imaginations of the most selfless, the Kingdom was composed of individuals who gave up everything they had by way of material wealth and holdings, and who by faith were bound in their hearts with a common vision. They believed their leader could bring them closer to a goal they were not capable of on their own, namely, "This world for Christ in my lifetime". Whatever lofty spiritual heights Sandford believed his faith had scaled and attained were due in large part from standing on the shoulders, spirits, and bankbooks of the dedicated students and workers at the Shiloh Community who gave their all to "Christ's forerunner". It is the families who came to that sandy hilltop at the turn of the century that deserved much of the recognition and admiration Sandford garnered as his. Many of those prayer warriors suffered hunger and deprivation to a degree which we today can only associate with those living in the third world. Their dedication and spirit permitted Sandford a means to minister from a position of relative comfort in contrast to their voluntary poverty. Below we have provided, for all who have an interest in such things, a listing of the deceased interred at the Shiloh Cemetery. Those in green are hot linked to the 1917 Shiloh membership list. Dates with an asterisk are not given on headstones but are from the
