Dushanbe International Fresh Water Forum Information Center nd day results) August Dushanbe The results of the Dushanbe International Fresh Water Forum have been summerized by the Prime Minister of the RT, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Mr. Akil Akilov at the press-conference on 30 th of August in the evening. He particularly stressed out that the first day of the Forum has been fruitful. The following has taken place : plenary session, opening of the International Exhibition «World of Water », Ministerial segment and etc. Touching upon global water problems, Mr.A.Akilov noted that Central Asian region is already now experiences the consequences of the irrational use of water resources – small waters in the Aral sea basin (115 m ) and decrease by 30% the space of glaciers as the main accumulators of fresh water. However, the world community is not indifferent toward global water problems, which is proven by a great number of the participants of the DIFWF. The Delegations from 53 countries and from 91 organizations are taking part in the work of the Forum. Then Mr. A.Akilov has answered the questions of the journalists. The Deputy Prime Minister Mr.K.Koimdodov has also participated in this press-conference.
