About this website (Sept. 2005) : This website is 2 years old, has 300 pages, and gets about 20,000 page visits a day . Its main function is to show that the most simple solution for describing physical reality, the Wave Structure of Matter (WSM) in Space, does actually work (the problems have been caused by the 'Particle' conception of matter in 'Space-Time', as Einstein realised). Now we realise that most people are not into physics, philosophy or metaphysics. However, most people do care about the world that we live in, and the future world that we are creating for our children. And it is pretty obvious that truth and reality (those much abused terms) are the two most important subjects for Humanity to understand if we are to build a better world. Our aim is to get these various WSM subject pages in the top ten in Google so that this knowledge of the Wave Structure of Matter (WSM) is at least known and considered. To achieve this we really need your help to add links to this website . If we can convince just 1% of people (100 people a day) to donate 5 minutes of their time to help then we will easily succeed in achieving this over the next year or so (as most of our pages currently rank in the top 50 in Google for relevant search terms).
Finally, our

      Abstract:
This introductory essay argues that it is a mistake to represent Australian feminist philosophy as a kind of discourse theory that is "downstream" of the French post-structuralists or North American postmodernists. Starting with the localand the specifically Australian modes of racial exclusion, in particularand exploring some of the byways of philosophy, what we encounter is a range of ontological, ethical, and political models that allow a reconfiguration of self, community, and social change.

      Abstract:
Aristotle's essentialism distinguishes between what belongs in itself and what belongs accidentally. Yet two distinct kinds of entity belong in itself: those that belong to something in what it is, and those that have what they belong to in the account of what they are; it is not clear in what sense the latter are essential. I articulate the nature of these entities, and argue that they are indeed essential in that they cannot not belong to their subjects. This is because they are 'entrenched' within the generic matter that is 'worked up' into the substance that is their subject. Huenemann, Charles.

        Abstract:
Spinoza claims that God is extended and corporeal, but he resists identifying God with the extended, corporeal world. How then are we to understand the relation of God to the physical world? This essay first critically examines interpretations offered by Schmaltz and Woolhouse which claim that Spinoza's God is not actually extended, but a nonextended essence of extension. It is then suggested that Spinoza's God can be understood as something akin to (a modified version of) scholastic prime matter. On this view, Spinoza's God is actually extended, but cannot be identified with the corporeal world, which is changeable and variegated in a way that prime matter is not.

    Biography
Dutch Jewish rationalist. Baruch or Benedict de Spinoza was born in Amsterdam into a distinguished Jewish family, exiled from Spain and living in the relative religious freedom of the Netherlands . He attended the Jewish school, and became learned in the work of Jewish and Arabic theologians. However, contact with dissident Christian movements, and with the with the scientific and philosophical thought of Descartes , led Spinoza to distance himself from orthodox life, and in 1656 he was deemed a heretic, cast out of the synagogue, and cursed with all the curses of the firmament. For a short time Spinoza was exiled from Amsterdam, but he returned and began a life supporting himself by grinding lenses and teaching. In 1660 he moved to Voorburg and then on to the Hague , where he lived with great fugality on a small pension. In 1672 Spinoza undertook a small diplomatic mission to the invading French army, but on his return was under suspicion as a spy, and narrowly escaped being killed by the mob. Spinoza lived out his remaining years in the same frugal state, writing and corresponding. He died of phthisis, possibly brought on by his trade as a lens-grinder. There remain numerous testimonies to his simplicity, virtue, charm, and courage.
    Works
After the exile from Amsterdam he returned and wrote the Short Treaties on God, Man, and his Well Being
