HName: Reinach, Salomon DateBorn: 1858 Placeborn: Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France Datedied: 1932 Placedied: Paris, France HDescrip: Art historian of the classical period; director of the Musée des Antiquités nationales; member of the Institut de France, and founder of the École du Louvre; wrote early survey of art history translated into English. Reinach was the middle son of a prominent banking family. Little is known about his early life. Between 1880-82 he participated in the archaeological digs with Edmond Pottier (1855-1934) and Alphonse Veyries (1858-1882) in Aeolia. In 1881 Reinach helped discover the Aeolian city state of Nimrud Kalassi. He joined the Musée des Antiquités nationales in Saint-Germain-en-Laye in 1886 as an assistant. Part of his experiences in archaeological field work were published in 1887 as La nécropole de Myrina . His pedagogic ideas of museology date from his experiences at Musée des Antiquités. In 1893 he became conservator of the museum and in 1902 named the director. During these same years he taught 1890-92 and 1895-1918 at the Ecole du Louvre, which he helped found. Around 1900, he met the aspiring papyrologist, Seymour de Ricci (q.v.), who's career Reinach would further, introducing him to the important world of French society scholarship. Reinach was named Professeur de numismatiqueam at the Collège de France and the Directeur propriétaire of the Gazette des Beaux-Arts . Among his popular courses at the Ecole du Louvre were his "Antiquités Nationales," which succeeded in getting him named to a professorship in 1902. Between 1905-10 he taught general art history. As an ancientist, he was a member of the Société des antiquaires de France. Over his career, Reinach developed a specialty in gems and was ranked with Adolf Furtwängler (q.v.) in expertise on the subject. From 1894 onward he was a member of the French School in Athens (Ecole Francaise d'Athènes). In 1904, Reinach published a survey of art history entitled

The Canadian Association for Parish Nursing Ministry CAPNM HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE OF PARISH NURSING IN CANADA - revised June 200 The concept of parish nursing began in Europe, arriving in the United States in the mid. 1980’s, and spreading to Canada less than a decade later, as early as 1992. Thousands of nurses are currently active in the ministry. As interest in this ministry began to grow across Canada and as parish nursing began to be practiced in various locations, there was a need to bring the people and organizations involved together for the purpose of networking and establishing common purposes and strategies. 1998 March 27 - A conference call, organized by the Salvation Army and the Catholic Health Association of Canada, was held with 12 persons involved in parish nursing from across Canada. The topic of the meeting was: Parish Nursing: Is it time to look at it from a National Perspective? The group discussed how to further parish nursing nationally as a way for the church to be involved in developing healthier communities. It was agreed that those attending the Bethany Care Society Parish Nurse meeting in Calgary, AB in May would meet to continue the dialogue. 1998 May 15 - A meeting was held the day after the conference in Calgary, AB. The representatives from The Salvation Army and the Catholic Health Association of Canada facilitated the meeting. Eleven people were in attendance. The group formed itself into the Canadian Parish Nurse Ministry Steering Committee to oversee the organization of a national symposium in Toronto for August 1998. An invitation to known shareholders to attend the symposium was sent out.

London Aquarian/Thorsons, 1992. Reinach, Salomon. Orpheus A History of Religions.trans. Florence Simmonds. New York Horace Liveright, 1930.

Carata/Montanus Cartoon
During the sixth century reign of Justinian, one John of Ephesus exhumed the bones of the central figures of the Montanist sect, the remains of Prisca, Maximilla, and some unknown "woman" buried with them, Carata! The late Rev. G. Salmon, of Dublin's Trinity College wrote, "What is disguised under the name Carata, we cannot tell.'' (1) Carata, a name on the grave markers, has no known place in the history of Montanism. "Gender dysphoric" Christian theologians, not comprehending sexual and gender diversity, would be incapable of making a connection that is at once obvious to a gender variant. From fragmentary accounts, we offer a probable answer to the mystery of Montanus/Carata, identified by Jerome as a semivir (half-man/half-woman) and abscissus (cut one) and described by several writers on religious history as a former priest(ess) of Cybele.
Montanus, Voice of the New Prophecy
Laura Darlene Lansberry utumn of the nineteenth regnal year of Antoninus Pius (156 C.E.), in the dusty, remote Phrygian village of Ardabau... In a private chamber of the village shrine of Magna Mater, Archigalla Carata spoke solemnly to Prisca, ``A new religion is drawing the common people from our ancient practices. They call us heathens and ridicule us. People sense that the world is coming to an ending; they are desparate for simple answers... seeking assurance of salvation, not esoteric mysteries so loved by the learned sophisticates. Perhaps this Jesus is Attis reborn! Yet, it disturbs me to see how these Christian dogmas decrease women, manifesting men as superior, to dominate over women. When I was dancing for the Mother and Her only Son, but two nights ago, Her voice spoke within me! I was given to know that our only chance for survival is to meld our spirituality into a new form.''

Gender Diversity and the Mythic Quest
A General Bibliography for our Metro'on Pages
assembled by Julia Cybele Lansberry Our information, historical tales, stories, and myths are drawn from years of study in well-documented sources, not with academic aspirations, but to increase awareness of the honored past of all those of us impelled to cross bounds of gender or sexuality. We offer this bibliography of over a hundred important works as an encouragement to independent exploration of our long-suppressed heritage. Our sacred heritage is one which, allowed opportunity, speaks with power and beauty across the millennia. A brief commentary and red highlights mark those books which have earned our highest recommendations.
Green highlights mark those books which have been an interesting read ... mostly autobiographical .
Maroon highlights mark additional reccomendations and are not necessarily the opinion of all of us here.

Because he was not merely "the first singer," though the Greeks knew of poems by him which they held to be much earlier than those of Homer. Orpheus was also, to the ancients

In Search of Peace: an Odyssey through Space and Time Chapter 7 by Tami While entering their new world, Shannon, Jason and Mr. Simmonds seemed to be a little confused. Their time machine was a mess. Shannon stepped out of the time machine and gazed around to find everything so beautiful. “Jason, “ she called, “You might want to come and see this.” “What do you want Shannon?” replied Jason, as he stepped out onto a marble floor. “We’re in the Sistine Chapel, can you believe it? It’s so beautiful, I have never seen anything like it,” Shannon stated in astonishment, “Who is that guy?” Mr. Simmonds stepped out of the time machine, looked up, and started pacing as he commented on the breathtaking artwork above. “That must be Michelangelo Buonarroti. This also means that we are in sixteenth century, Italy.” Jason stated Michelangelo climbed down from his scaffolding and greeted the group. Mr. Simmonds casually walked over to Michelangelo with Shannon and Jason traveling behind. “Buon Giorno!, I am Michelangelo, what has brought you here?”
