The season has arrived to pull soil samples, clean out houses, manage manure, and plan nutrient needs for 2001 crops. Don't wait until the last minute. Call your Conservation District and find out how the Delaware Nutrient Management Program can help. The 1999 Delaware Nutrient Management Act affects all persons who "operate an animal operation in excess of eight animal units, or apply nutrients to lands in excess of 10 acres." NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT COST-SHARE PROGRAMS AVAILABLE NOW Nutrient Management Plan Development Those who apply nutrients to 10 acres or greater are eligible for cost assistance for developing a nutrient management plan by private nutrient consultants. Legal mandates will be met early with voluntary participation.
  • Rates include up to $5 per acre for 3 years of nutrient management planning developed by a private consultant.

The minutes from July 16, 2003 , were passed. Dean's Announcements The Dean addressed a variety of issues:
Some headway has been made on the subject of graduate student researchers (GSRs), and members of the Dean's Office have been meeting with Mr. Masnick to recover more indirect costs on grants that include student tuition in them.
Additionally, the Dean and the Planning and Budget Policies Committee, as well, are working on meeting with Mr. Ramicone and Mr. Masnick regarding the points that Dr. Levine made in addressing the faculty at the September 5, 2003 , School-Wide Faculty Meeting.
Finally, Clyde Jones has been announced as the Chief Development Officer for the University of Pittsburgh/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Medical and Health Sciences Foundation.

    Benefit Reading for Washington Square
    Monday, Dec 06, 2004 A poetry and fiction reading to benefit Washington Square The event will also celebrate the upcoming release of the Winter 2005 Issue of Washington Square . This new issue includes the work of David Trinidad, Matthew Rohrer, Stephen Dixon, and Nin Andrews, among others. Tickets for the event will be $5; $3 for students, and are available at the door. Copies of the Winter 2005 journal will be available for preorder and back issues will be available for sale, both at a discounted price of $5 per copy. James Frey is the author of A Million Little Pieces . A former film writer, he has also worked as a skateboard salesman, a camp counselor, a picture-framer, a bouncer at a bar, a film director, a film producer, a busboy, a hotel security guard, and as both Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny at a major department store. Matthew Rohrer was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and raised in Oklahoma. He earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan, where he won a Hopwood Award for poetry and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in poetry from the University of Iowa. His books are
