DESCENDANTS of Michael 1.3 Only 6th GENERATION FAMILIES
Samuel BLUE (1815-1885), m.1841 Abigail “Abbie” HULLIHEN He was born in Chillisquaque Twp., Northumberland Co. PA, and lived at Danville, Montour Co. PA. She was a daughter of Thomas and Rebecca ( FREEZE HULLIHAN In 1850 they were running a hotel in Bloom Twp., Columbia Co. PA. By 1860 they were back in Danville and are also listed there in the 1870 census. It has been stated that this Samuel was a son of Isaac and Catherine (Billmeyer) Blue (1.5.10.2.3), however, their Bible record indicates that their Samuel died as an infant. This Samuel’s position as a son of Isaac BLUE [1.3.1.1.2] is confirmed by the Beers history of Columbia and Montour Cos., referenced below. This reference indicates that Samuel was born in Valley Twp. of (then) Columbia Co. and died at Danville PA. He was a house painter by trade and was also employed in public positions.

Oakwood Cemetery Nininger Township, Dakota County, Minnesota: T115N - R17W, section 20 The paper version of this cemetery transcription is not yet available for viewal. I claim and reserve any and all rights to the works that I have compiled and created. These pages may be viewed much like a library book, but I do not approve of any type of reproduction in any format. Persons or organizations desiring to use the information contained within in my web pages MUST obtain my written consent. All information is for Non-Profit use only. This cemetery has regular care and is in fair shape. Most of the marked burials appear to be located in the southwest section of this cemetery. The fenced area surrounding the cemetery is much larger than the area that has marked burials. This cemetery is owned by the Minnesota Historical Society. Over the years there have been several references to this particular cemetery. I have found that one of the best works is ‘The History of Nininger ... More Than Just a Dream’, written Leslie A. Guelcher. This book shows a map outlining the cemetery and photographs of some of the burial monuments. In the 1881 "History of the Minnesota Valley", by Rev. Edward D. Neill, he wrote: ‘...Oakwood Cemetery ... This association was organized 7 June 1856. ... That same year, they purchased fifteen acres of land in the south-east quarter of section 20. The name Oakwood, on account of a very fine grove of oaks which was situated on the land, was selected. The cemetery was surveyed and platted in 1856 .’ (page 295).

St. Victoria’s Catholic Church Cemetery city of Victoria, Carver County, Minnesota: T116N - R24W, section 14 I claim and reserve any and all rights to the works that I have compiled and created. These pages may be viewed much like a library book, but I do not approve of any type of reproduction in any format. Persons or organizations desiring to use the information contained within in my web pages MUST obtain my written consent. All information is for Non-Profit use only. This cemetery has regular care and is in good shape. The visible cemetery, located along Victoria Drive, is one of two cemeteries located on this property. Within the newer of the two cemetery there are about half a dozen four foot tall cement crosses that appear to be burial monuments. These crosses have an iron crucifix attached to each individual cross, but do not appear to contain any names or dates for the deceased. The other cemetery is located in a heavily wooded ravine about 1000 yards south of the church. The graves in the ravine are no longer individually marked nor is the area regularly maintained. The perimeter of the cemetery in the ravine was marked by four to six large field stones. My understanding is that the cemetery in the ravine was the original cemetery used by this church congregation, but the older cemetery in the ravine has not been used in a very long time. This cemeteries burial monuments were transcribed during the spring of 2000.

(includes re-interments from Oakland Cemetery)
The First German Evangelical-Lutheran Cemetery (First Trinity after 1930) was located on the hill in Oakland and was locally referred to as the Oakland" cemetery, even on some maps.
"That property was purchased as the highest point on the then eastern boundary of the city so that our blessed dead might await the resurrection and be the first in the city to see the return of our Lord. The cemetery dates prior to 1847 when Pastor Godfrey Jensen died on February 19 of that year and was interred in "our Oakland cemetery" according to the church history. That cemetery was used solely by our congregation and was not a public cemetery up until the sale of the property c. 1962." Pastor Spittel, September, 2002
