Updated: 28 June 2003 Update An article in the June 26, 2003 East Aurora Advertiser reported that the Wales Town Board
has voted to appropriate $1,200 to be used to survey the South Wales Cemetery.
They have hired a local surveyor to chart the location of the graves so that volunteers
can mark them so that proper names can be put on the headstones. Sandy Luss South Wales Cemetery

Town of Wales
Erie County, New York (South Wales is one of three Hamlets of Wales) "These records were cataloged by a Boy Scout (Harry Morse) of East Aurora, New York in 1972.
This record which may not be completely [perfect is better than a present recording trip
because this cemetery has been vandalized many times. The past and present cemetery Association hasn't really been active in the preservation of records or gravestones;
therefore the early burials and the monuments are completely missing or were discarded and those names are now unknown. This record is the property of the East Aurora Historian's Office in East Aurora, New York.

CEMETERY HISTORY A bird likes to sing but cannot write the song for future reference. Some animals fly and cannot write down the process which he transports from one place to another. We have have heard and seen the talking bird, but we have not seen his written concersation. Man is unique in many behavioral patterns. It is an intelligent thing to put down parts of information until we come to a more valid and conclusive bit of evidence that can be checked until we find real truths that exists behind an important community place or project. The difference between man and the lower animals is that man has the ability to communicate and record information. Since early days man has always found a way to leave a record. Before the writing process, man drew pictures on the inside of cave walls that told stories. Grave Markers, Florida Collection
