SECTION 1
The Rochester Mausoleum
I.O.O.F. Cemetery The Rochester Mausoleum Company was organized and incorporated on April 8, 1911, for the purpose of constructing and maintaining community mausoleums at and in the vicinity of the City of Rochester, Indiana.
The Rochester Mausoleum was constructed and crypts sold, and bodies accepted for burial therein.
On October 13, 1970, a case was filed in the Fulton Circuit Court, alleging that for more than ten years last past, there had been no elected, qualified and acting officers or directors of the company. Also that for more than 20 years last past, the First National Bank of Rochester, Rochester, Indiana, had acted as trustee of the funds of said company. Also, that the said mausoleum was in a state of extreme disrepair, and constituted a public nuisance and should be removed, requiring the reinterment of all bodies presently interred therein.
In April, 1971, 124 bodies were removed from the Rochester Mausoleum, and reinterred in a mass burial site, along the east side of the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Only three of these have dates.

ORIGIN AND DESCENDANTS OF CORNELIUS JONES OF ORANGE COUNTY, NEW YORK ... CONTRIBUTED BY MRS. J. A. WELLER, JR., Jockey Hollow Farm, New Hampton, New York This material was contributed by Mrs. Sandra Buchanan who graciously sent it to me. I am still trying to wade through this but it appears to the link to my end of the Jones family through the Cornelius Jones family in Goshen, NY as well as a link to my mother's Westbrook family through Ebeneezer Jones. That is, William B. Jones who was born in Warwick in 1803 and whose father was William Jones and grandfather Cornelius Jones. For more information on this branch go to: William B Jones of Warwick and Bath, New York Possibly relevant material in Italics
Thank you. Dale C Jones Numbers before names denote order from Cornelius Jones of Stamford, Ct. and superscript numbers denote generations from him.

The origin of the Jones family of Orange County has been searched for at some length by various persons over a period of years, but it is only at this time that we can be certain of their previous residence. The following is the result of some research, and, it is hoped, will throw some light on their connection with several of the old County families. For some data on later generations, I am indebted to Miss Elizabeth Horton and Mrs. Judson- Parker . 1. Cornelius Jones

MOHAWK CEMETERY, Pt. 1 - TOWN OF GERMAN FLATTS, HERKIMER COUNTY
Village of Mohawk
The list of the large Village of Mohawk Cemetery, in the Town of German Flatts, was donated to us by Susan Perkins of the Herkimer County Historical Society. At the time the reading was taken, the readers were able to discern 1,833 unique stones or named vaults! Names were not written down in any alphabetical order but in the order in which they started reading the stones. Since early Mohawk Valley surnames, as well as those of later 19th century immigrants, are well-represented in this cemetery, we expect many visitors to this site to find a family member. If you do, or know the relationships of people who rest here, we would like to show our gratitude to the Herkimer Co. Historical Society by sending them that information to supplement their own hard copy of this cemetery. Your information will also be posted on line in a footnotes section.
