Lone Pine Cemetery

Lone Pine cemetery is located just 6 miles north west of Clarksville, Arkansas on hwy. 103 and then 2 1/2 miles east on Lone Pine road. Lone Pine road is well known by the locals, however, for those of you who are far off, it is county hwy. 76.
The gravestones are all in good shape, with only some of the older ones needing a bit of cleaning. Several of the graves have flowers. The cemetery looks to be well taken care of, I only saw one or two headstones that have fallen over, although some are a little crooked as the tree roots have grown and pushed the headstones off a bit. On the south side there are several places where small rock walls of about 8 to 12 inches high have been built to level out the graves. The front, or south side, consists mainly of graves from the 1800's with a few from the 1900's. The back, or north side, has mainly graves from the 1900's with a few from the 1800's sprinkled in here and there. To the best of our knowledge these stones were read correctly: Donna and Marci Boden July 2000

Greenwich Village is a largely residential area on the west side of downtown (southern) Manhattan in New York City . The neighborhood is roughly bounded by Broadway on the east, the Hudson River on the west, Houston Street on the south , and 14th Street on the north . The neighborhoods surrounding it are East Village to the east, SoHo to the south, and Chelsea to the north.
1 History
The neighborhood was originally a separate village, hence the name, first attested in 1712. In 1822, a yellow fever epidemic in New York encouraged residents to flee to the more healthful air of Greenwich Village, and afterwards many stayed. The district was better known as " Washington Square " in the 19th century. Greenwich Village has long been known as a bastion of artistic and bohemian culture, an image which has roots in the late

Ten Days That Shook The World The title of a book by American journalist John Reed (1887-1920), published in 1919 and with a foreward by Lenin. This was one of the few eyewitness accounts of the Russian Revolution in English (another was by Arthur Ransome, better known for his Swallows and Amazons books), written from a pro-Bolshevik point of view. Archive film clips, Eisenstein reconstructions and the voiceover of Orson Welles later combined in an excellent documentary film with the same title. The ten days that shook the world ran from 16-26 October, 1917 (Old Style). Go back to the top. There's a Valley in Spain Called Jarama...
