Knowing of his love for the great outdoors, he was offered an opportunity to hunt wolves and coyotes with Jack (Catch 'em Alive) Abernathy. The painting depicts a camp scene after a day's hunt. Chief Quannah Parker came down from Lawton and joined the party for two days. Friday, 24 August 2001 A Question Of Murder For the past three days I have been making another return guest appearance at the Edinburgh Festival. I conduct arranged mini-tours telling people of my experiences and my viewpoints. The enthusiasm of the people is exhilarating. This is a remarkable festival that is over 50 years young, and has earned a justifiable reputation as one of the world's greatest celebration of the arts. Edinburgh is the beautiful capital city of Scotland, and its people are special, with great feeling and warmth. During the period of the Festival the atmosphere in this cultural haven becomes electric when the arts conquer the city, and completely take over. The understanding and forbearance of the local people are lessons for us all. The invasion of hordes that commandeer public transport, crowd their streets, fill their restaurants and pubs is taken with smiling equanimity. Street acts; jugglers; comedians; musicians, and many others give live performances. The enthusiasm of the performers is boundless. For them merely to perform is absolute bliss. One aficionado drove hundreds of miles from England to Edinburgh to give one-man monologue performances in his small car, often to an audience of just one person.

Saturday February 17th, 2001 JUDGES, JUSTICE AND THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM The Nonsense 'Torture Trial' The Times They Are A Changing There would appear to be little doubt that the present Lord Chief Justice of England, Lord Woolf is the most fair-minded Lord Chief Justice in my lifetime. There is evidence that he has compassion, and his critical views on the prison system over many years have been fully vindicated. The civil servants and politicians would do well if they listened to this wise Judge. Unfortunately he has come too late for me, and many others. Lord Chief Injustice I had the unfortunate experience of being a professional thief during the terrible years when the iron fist of Lord Goddard ruled the Law Courts. During the reign of this heartless man there were no balanced scales of justice, only weighted injustice. He made a mockery of the justice system and democracy and, more often than not, made his mind up on the guilt of a person before he had heard a word of the evidence, or lack of evidence. He had autocratic power and used it without tolerance.

Board members help define current local and national trends in employment as well as assist in curriculum development and revisions. The Advisory Board of the NAF Academy program provides a platform for communication between educators and representatives from the public and private sector within a community. Advisory Board members offer advice, encouragement, and guidance to the local program director and staff. School Districts rely upon the assistance of board members to provide students with opportunities for careers in a specific industry.
