Knihovní systémy Pøístup ke katalogùm Na rozdíl od rešeršních systémù zmiòovaných podrobnìji v pøedchozí kapitole jsou katalogy knihovních systémù volnì pøístupné v síti Internet pro velké množství (vìtších) knihoven. Obdobnì, jako je v nìkterých knihovnách možné i bez ètenáøského prùkazu nahlédnout do (lístkových) katalogù a vyhledat zde urèitou knihu, mívají knihovny v Internetu volnì zpøístupnìné (elektronické) záznamy o svých knihách. Analogicky zpùsobu hledání ve skøíních s lístkovými katalogy hovoøíme také o zpùsobech prohledávání souborù elektronických záznamù jako o pøístupech k elektronickým katalogùm. Z klasických lístkových katalogù mají snad v každé knihovnì jmenný katalog . V nìm jsou lístky odkazující na jednotlivé knihy abecednì seøazeny podle jména autora. Už ménì se vyskytuje názvový katalog , v nìmž jsou lístky seøazeny podle titulù knih. Mnohdy je takovýto katalog k dispozici jen pro urèité speciální publikace, uèební texty, firemní pøíruèky a podobnì. A koneènì je èasto k dispozici též pøedmìtový katalog , kde jsou odkazy na knihy uspoøádány podle obsahového zamìøení, tedy podle pøedmìtù, o nichž knihy pojednávají.
