Extent: 399 shelfmarks
Scope and Content
The Bickersteths are a family noted for the last six generations for their tradition of service to the Church of England. This collection of papers contains mainly family correspondence and papers from five of these generations, beginning with (section A) the papers of Edward Bickersteth, rector of Watton (1786-1850), followed by (section B) those of his son Edward Henry Bickersteth (1825-1906) Bishop of Exeter, poet and hymnographer, who married Rosa, daughter of Sir Samuel Bignold, MP for Norwich. The third section (C), papers of their second son Samuel Bickersteth (1857-1937), forms a large part of the collection. He was ordained priest in 1882, having married in 1881 Ella, daughter of Sir Monier Monier-Williams founder of the Indian Institute in Oxford. They had six sons, one of whom was killed in the First World War. This section includes weekly letters from three of the boys to their parents throughout their school and university days. The letters continue through the First World War forming an eleven volume record known as the Bickersteth Diary, 1914-18, which was kept by their mother, and in 1995 was edited and published (London, 1995) by her grandson John Bickersteth, sometime Bishop of Bath and Wells. This section also includes scrapbooks containing newscuttings, and printed ephemera concerning family, parish and national events, family photograph albums and correspondence of the Monier-Williams family.

Biographical File

University of Arizona Biographical File has both photographs and printed materials of numerous UA faculty and staff, dating from 1867 to present. Individual files vary in content and size, containing biographical sketches, resumes, clippings and photographs. Since the photographs are interspersed throughout the collections, not every folder will have images. Access to the material is through an index guide arranged alphabetically by last name. Most individuals have their own folder, otherwise, the information will be found in the general folders for each letter. A B C D ... Z A Acuna, Ed

SHUBUTA, MISSISSIPPI - ESTABLISHED 1860
Research and compiled by Jerry D. Mason and Christopher J. Mason in March 1999
Please just link to my site. Do not copy and paste to bulletin boards without permission! *I have broken down the cemetery into four parts and split these parts into sections. I have tried to write down exactly what was on the graves and headstones and sometime short descriptions of the area. Many of the older graves need attention and cleaning. Part 1 is the oldest part of the cemetery. The oldest marked grave is the grave of Allie H. Dees, who was buried in November 1862. There are many unknown/unmarked graves in this area. Part 2 is the area right of the front gate. Most of this area has fences and low cement walls marking off family plots. Part 3 is the area in the middle of the cemetery. There are also fences and low cement walls marking off family plots. Part 4 is the area directly to the left of the front gate and following fence line all the way to the back of the cemetery to the Memorial of the Confederate Dead.

A-Z "Stranger stop and cast an eye, as you are now, so once was I.
As I am now, so you will be. Prepare for death and follow me.
(medieval inscription, author lost)
Inscriptions were recorded at various times in the 1970's and 1990's by Wilson and Grace Davis, and Betty and Ray Terry.
"PLOT" indicates a marker or group of markers numbered by the Terrys. The plot numbers tend to group members of a family. (Burials occurring after plot numbering was completed have confounded the numerical order, but have not affected numbering as a tool to find families.) (ASTERISK) * = data provided by SOCIAL SECURITY DEATH INDEX (SSDI). Comments in quotes are data taken from ENGRAVINGS ON STONES. Comments without quotes = COMMENTS BY THE TERRYS. Most inscribed dates have been changed to DAY-MONTH-YEAR order.

This listing of burials in a Colorado cemetery is a listing of only the burials where the headstone, or an associated marker, has an indication that the person belonged to one of the following organizations, or was a relative of the person who belonged to the organization. It is not meant to suggest that it is a complete listing of everyone buried in the cemetery, nor a listing of everyone from those organizations who is buried in the cemetery. For the most part the organizations began putting the identification on the tombstones in about 1880 and quit about 1935, though a few are occasionally seen with later death dates. Abbreviations WOW = Woodmen of the World MWA = Modern Woodmen of America Women = Women of Woodcraft Neigh = Neighbor of Woodcraft WC = Woodmen Circle SFWC = Supreme Forest Woodmen Circle * Upright stump. # Fancy horizontal sandstone log + Other odd shapes, ie., urns, balls, pillars

    Preface
The British Society for Rheumatology was formed in 1984 by amalgamation of the Heberden Society which was founded in 1936 "for the Advancement of the Society of Rheumatic Diseases" and the British Association for Rheumatism and Rehabilitation which was founded in 1942 as the British Association of Physical Medicine. From the former the British Society for Rheumatology inherited the Heberden Library. The post of Honorary Heberden Librarian is in the gift of the present Council of BSR. This new 6th edition of the catalogue supercedes the 1989 5th edition which was prepared by Eric Bywaters and Geoffrey Davenport. Previous editions were prepared by the first Heberden Librarian Will Copeman with the help of Mr. L.M. Payne the College Librarian. The historical collection was begun by Will Copeman, CBE, TD FRCP (1900-70) based originally on a gift from the Royal Mineral Water Hospital, Bath (Dr. George Kersley), of their then holdings. Since 1964 it has been based in the Heberden Room of the Royal College of Physicians by kind permission of the Harveian Librarian. Since 1970 we have not sought to obtain books already held in the RCP library whose holdings of books of rheumatological interest are listed separately. The current library is principally held at the RCP but certain volumes and journals are in the library in the new BSR Headquarters in Eagle Street. The library is structured in a number of sections which are as follows:
