Getty thesaurus of geographic names :

Abstract : Contains nearly 1 million place names representing approximately 900,000 places. Composed of names and other information contributed by several Getty projects, including the Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA), the Foundation for Documents of Architecture (FDA), the Getty Center Photo Study Collection (GCPS), and the Getty Information Institutes Vocabulary Program (VP). The TGN is the only available automated geographical resource that is hierarchical, global in scope, and targeted at researchers, catalogers, librarians, and archivists dealing with the history of art and architecture. The logical focus of a TGN record is the "place." Each place has attributes, including names, placecurrent political and physical world.

    Automated manufacturing systems : PLCs

Abstract : A book on programmable logic controllers (PLC's), which are widely used to control all kinds of electrical devices. The 800+ page can be downloaded in one large file or in individual chapters. Readers can learn everything from high-level concepts, like Boolean logic and operational design planning, to physical details such as PLC specifications and connectivity. The author explains different methods of programming PLC's and offers suggestions for selecting the right PLC for a particular application. The book is a work in progress, so a few "to do" notes are scattered throughout the text

Of these, there were Generals, Captains, Lieutenants and Thayers could be found fighting in nearly every major battle of the war. There were most likely many more than are represented here, but these have been identified by our Historian/Genealogist. Only five of the Thayers in this list were known to have served in the Confederate States Army, and are listed in bold blue type.
