Fundamentalism King James Bible God Is ... Charismatic Error Email: rlister@picknowl.com.au A Warning: The language used on this page is of an explicit nature when describing the various forms of filth that pervade this world. There are some that will take offence at the language used and at the attack against their lifestyle, and there will be some who profess to be Christians that also take offence. I do not apologize and will not alter any content on this page unless is it as a result of error. I do not desire to offend but the very message itself will offend because it is based upon truth, God's Word. On the subject of Sodomites, I suggest that you go to Sodomites in the Bible to get some understanding on how the Bible speaks of them. After reviewing the language used in this page I have replaced the phrase " filthy stinking perverted sodomites " with the more appropriate " disgusting, abominable and perverted sodomites ." I believe that the latter is a more literal description of the nature of those that partake of the perverion.
Pornography and the Internet
The author of this site is pro censorship. I believe that there is a desperate need to censor the net to remove the filth that is not only available to adults, but is readily avaible to any child that might have access to the net. All these software packages that are supposed to filter porno material are probably a complete waste of money as new porno sites pop up every day, and some change their addresses and names just to avoid detection by these packages. The deviates that produce, sell, and display their filth will do anything to pervert the minds of our children. To long have the illegal porno, paedophile and filthy immoral sodomite groups used the internet as a means of peddling their filth.

This article is an excerpt from an issue of FIDONEWS on individual privacy and the use of handles. It accepts the need of a system operator to know the name of a user; but suggests that the use of a handle is analogous to a request to withhold the name in a letter to the editor. The article concludes with a set of guidelines for preserving the right to be anonymous.

What do netizens care about and believe in? They believe in leaving control of the net at the edges. Families can filter; countries shouldn't. They believe that optimism is a fine state of mind. Why not believe the best of people, until you're proved wrong? Cooperation produces breathtaking results. They believe that innovation is worth supporting at almost any cost, because you never know what might show up.

EFF
Equipped for the Future (EFF) is a National Institute for Literacy research project that seeks to improve the quality of adult education services by offering the field a comprehensive content framework, better-defined results, and standards that enable programs to focus on achieving those results. Based on extensive input from learners, instructors, administrators, and others, including many in Washington State, EFF crafted 16 content standards that expand the range of skills currently addressed in adult education to cover what adults must know and be able to do to fulfill their roles as workers, parents and family members, and citizens. In addition to communication skills, like Read with Understanding and Listen Actively, the standards also focus on decision making skills, such as Plan and Use Math to Communicate and Solve Problems; interpersonal skills, like Cooperate with Others, Resolve Conflict, and Negotiate; and lifelong learning skills, like Learn through Research, Take Responsibility for Learning, and Use Information and Communications Technology. In addition to being an EFF development partner, Washington uses EFF as a framework for its assessment and program improvement activities.

The Grokster case cometh: Disney's profits versus open innovation
Last update: Submitted by Christian Einfeldt IAAL. Usually that is written, IANAL (I am not a lawyer), but in my case, IAAL. And I'm here to tell you from 11 years in the trenches that judges are not neutral. Law is what happens when social values become written in stone. Different groups have different values. Today, some very nasty values were written in stone by the US Supreme Court. The wrong group got their values written in stone. This case should not have been difficult to decide. Grokster and StreamCast Networks were offering legitimate services. Now, those two businesses will be held responsible for the bad acts of people they never met, and had no control over. Clear your head now with this interview of Wendy Seltzer, an attorney arguing the case for the Grokster side, because from today and forever, you're going to hear lots of confusing BS from the the “ ”, which is the name that technology news guru

The Electronic Frontier Foundation ( http://www.eff.org ) appreciates this opportunity to testify regarding the adverse effects from the prohibition against circumvention of technological protections enacted by the DMCA.
The licensing terms imposed on DVD technology prevent player manufacturers from offering people the ability to bypass the region codes. The same terms prevent players from making noninfringing copies on traditional VHS tapes or computer hard drives for personal or educational use. People who have attempted to eliminate these restrictions, by making competing DVD players from legitimate reverse-engineering rather than by signing a license, have been sued and enjoined under the DMCA by major movie studios. The Content Scramble System (CSS) is deliberately designed to prevent legitimate purchasers from being able to view their own purchased movies. The region coding scheme used by DVDs prevents individual US residents who purchase DVD movies from anywhere else in the world from simply VIEWING these movies on DVD players sold in the United States.

EFF: Fighting for Bloggers' Rights
If you're a blogger, this website is for you. EFF's goal is to give you a basic roadmap to the legal issues you may confront as a blogger, to let you know you have rights, and to encourage you to blog freely with the knowledge that your legitimate speech is protected. To that end, we have created the Legal Guide for Bloggers , a collection of blogger-specific FAQs addressing everything from fair use to defamation law to workplace whistle-blowing.
Other ways we're fighting for your rights:
Bloggers can be journalists (and journalists can be bloggers) - We're battling for legal and institutional recognition that if you engage in journalism, you're a journalist, with all of the attendant rights, privileges, and protections. (See Apple v. Does Bloggers are entitled to free speech chill your legitimate speech. (See OPG v. Diebold Bloggers have the right to political speech - We're working with a number of other public-interest organizations to ensure that the Federal Election Commission (FEC) doesn't gag bloggers' election-related speech. We argue that the FEC should adopt a presumption against the regulation of election-related speech by individuals on the Internet, and interpret the existing media exemption to apply to online media outlets that provide news reporting and commentary regarding an election including blogs. EFF is sending two lawyers (and me) to the court in Santa Clara tomorrow AM to fight the temporary restraining order. We're on the case, at least for the TRO and preliminary injunction. We're looking for permanent pro bono counsel to lead the entire case. Bay Area cypherpunks are invited to attend. Dress like a banker if you can, come whether you did or not, and let's impress the judge with how many solid citizens come to watch how s/he handles the case. The notice below says 8AM, but if you get there before 9:30 my guess is that you will still catch the hearing. See the details at: http://www.eff.org/effector/HTML/effect12.04.html If any newly rich Linux folks want to bankroll the case, please step up. If we don't defend our right to reverse-engineer proprietary software, document it, discuss it, build compatible clones, and distribute them nobody else will! Even if you aren't rich, if you care about this issue, send in a contribution at http://www.eff.org/join/
