RFC 822 RFC 822 RFC 822 / MIME / PEM standards. - There is an established very large global user base of Internet RFC 822 RFC 822 RFC 822 services to a RFC 822 / MIME / PEM service. A MIME based service offers more functionality to the user than a plain RFC 822 RFC 822 / MIME / PEM service, thus ensuring connectivity between these two services with a maximum functionality. Such a gateway is technically feasible and it is an essential part of an unified E-mail service. Without such a standardised gateway the overall E-mail service would deteriorate. The lack of open standards for the PC LAN messaging systems discourages their use as 'backbone' messaging technologies within open communities. However the products that these systems deliver to end users ensures that their already large share of the messaging market will continue to exist for some time. Thus it is also essential that strategies that allow these systems to be 'seamlessly' integrated within the global messaging community are put in place. Not least due to the indications that the main messaging vendors are developing X.400(1988) and

http://www.bedfordstmartins.com/online/cite8.html
This chapter's guidelines for citing Internet sources stem from the principles presented in the sixth edition of Scientific Style and Format: The CBE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, published by the Council of Biology Editors (now the Council of Science Editors) in 1994. Many writers in the natural sciences use the citation style recommended in the CBE Manual, which also gives advice for styling and formatting scientific papers, journals, and books for publication. Its editors offer two methods for citing and documenting sources: the citation-sequence system and the name-year system. Important note: The seventh edition of Scientific Style and Format , which will be published soon, gives new recommendations for citing electronic sources. While these recommendations are not included here, you can find out more about them by visiting the CSE’s Web site at http://www.councilscienceeditors.org/pubs_citing_internet.shtml
This section briefly describes the citation-sequence and name-year citation systems. Use the system preferred by your instructor or by the journal you are writing for, and consult Chapter 30 of the CBE Manual

Welcome to the Construction Writers Association, an organization of almost 300 professional journalists, publicists, photographers and other communicators in the construction industry. Founded in 1958, CWA offers numerous resources to its members, including large annual meetings in Washington, D.C. and Chicago, and networking and educational events at many major trade shows including World of Concrete, World of Asphalt, and CONEXPO/CON-AGG. Our organization strives to promote and improve construction communications through award programs that recognize exceptional work in the field. We invite members and non-members to submit work for consideration in categories including journalism, website design, newsletters, photography, and marketing communications. Also, CWA’s Silver Hard Hat awards honor industry leadership and service to the association. And we recently established a scholarship fund that will support young construction writers. As an independent writer in the construction field, with experience as both a construction journalist and publicist, I know how valuable CWA is to communicators in our industry. By providing opportunities for networking, education, recognition, and fellowship, CWA helps foster a strong community — and improve the quality of construction writing.
