compiled by John Shook Note 1. The Proceedings from 1902 to 1949 were published in Philosophical Review. Because memorials were then part of division business, a few philosophers received two memorials from different divisions. Note 3. Beginning with the 1949-1950 Proceedings, its publication is an annual volume, starting with volume 23, continuing the numbering of the Annual Reports, until 1976. The 1976-1977 to 1979-1980 volumes appear in 6 issues, and subsequent volumes have 5 issues. Note 4. Birth/death and name information is sometimes missing; where possible, other sources have been used. Note 5. Trainor / Traynor
The Gaelic Ulster surname Mac Threinfhir - son of strong man, or champion -is anglicized Traynor, also spelt Treanor and Trainor, without the Mac, though the prefix is retained in the variant MacCrainor, which is phonetically more correct, since the T is aspirated in the Irish form of the name. Apart from Dublin city, Traynors are chiefly found in the districts between Monaghan, Armagh and Dungannon. MacLysaght
Research of Irish records has revealed that in a 20 year period between 1814 and 1834 there were 9 males by surname TRAINOR (sic) living on holdings in "Damully" (Damoily) Townland, in Co. Armagh, Ireland, on land owned by the Earl of Charlemont. John, Patrick, Hugh, Bernard, Michael, Terence, Thomas, Owen and Felix It seems reasonable to assume that, if not all brothers, they were related to each other in some significant manner.
Catherine TRAINOR [1817-1893] daughter of John TRAINOR and Catherine DALY and her husband, Cornelius O'CONNOR [1816-1892] c1880 Toronto, Ontario

Delaware County, NY Genealogy and History Site transcribed by Les and Dorothy Howland, California The following records are courtesy of the Roxbury Library Associations History Room . Hard Copies of such records are available for viewing and duplication during normal library hours. This compilation is from the notebooks of Amy Gavette and was done in the 1960s . It was manually typed on typing paper. Needless to say some of it is faded and coping it is difficult. If dates don't match you may have to go to the Roxbury Library and see the originals, they too are starting to fade. This is not a public library, they run on support from their patrons and the History room is run by donations, and for such a small room it is packed full of information on the town of Roxbury and some Delaware county information. Maddera Cemetery
Location: Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama
contributed APR 2005 by Rick Wallace The Maddera Cemetery is located in Madison County on Johns Road,
between Old Monrovia Road and Oakwood Road. There is only one known tombstone
which is currently in the yard of the old Brockway Farmhouse. The stone was
plowed up in a cotton field several years ago. The stone is that of Archibald
T. Maddera, who was born in Surry County, VA on August 10, 1792. He is
mentioned in the book "Eary History of Huntsville, Alabama" by Edward Chambers
Betts (1804-1870). Mr. Betts states that: "On the west side of Jefferson Street, just off
the square, on the site of the old Huntsville Hotel, C. Cheatham owned and operated
a tavern, and just across the street, in the center of the block, Archibald Maddera ran his tavern, which was headquarters for the delegates to the Territorial Constitutional Convention held at Huntsville in 1819." Only known stone: In Memory of Archibald T. Madderra
