on their wedding day, 22 November, 1908.

Rolf Vollmann sieht sich mit diesem Buch in die schönsten Frühlingsgärten versetzt und wandelt dort entzückt umher. Bei aller lyrischer Schwärmerei über den so "herrlich gar nicht enden wollenden Rasenden Roland" von Ludovico Ariost, besinnt sich der Rezensent dann aber doch noch auf die vorliegende Nacherzählung von Italo Calvino, der bereits 1970 den Rasenden Roland in eine Erzählung gefasst hat, in die ausgewählte Strophen von Ariost eingefügt sind, wie Vollmann erklärt. Burkhard Kroeber hat nach der begeisterten Einschätzung des Rezensenten Calvinos Text in einer "leichtfüßige" Übersetzung ins Deutsche gebracht, "wie sie keiner von uns hätte schreiben können". Und so wäre das Glück Vollmanns perfekt, wenn da nicht die Illustrationen von Johannes Grützke wären, deren "tölpelhaft bäuerische" Manier er der Anmut der Geschichte um Ritter, geraubte Frauen und geflügelte Pferde vollkommen unangemessen findet.

John Couch Adams (1819-1892) Astrónomo británico. Virtual descubridor del planeta Neptuno en 1845 en base a calculos matemáticos sobre su posición aproximada la cual resultó coincidente con la determinada por el astrónomo U.J.Leverrier quien trabajando en base a calculos propios se acredito, un año mas tarde, su descubrimiento.

Agustín de Hipona
Santo y uno de los doctores de la Iglesia Catolica. Macido en Tagaste, en las inmediaciones de Hipona en la provincia de Numidia en el norte de Africa (Argel). Ciudadano romano inteligente y de mente cultivada se destaco en retorica y gramatica ejerciendo la docencia eh Hipona y Cartago. Convertido en Milan al catolicismo en el 386 y ordenado sacerdote en 391 y mas tarde obispo en Hipona combatio las herejias y tuvo singular exito en la conversion de paganos. Escritor y pensador de valia escribio entre otras dos obras trascendentales en testimonio de su fe y experiencias personales : Confesiones y la Ciudad de Dios. Murio enfermo en Hipona en el 430 asediada por entonces por los vandalos de Genserico que habian invadido las provincias romanas del norte de Africa.

Organizar um catálogo das fontes primárias existentes nas bibliotecas da cidade de Curitiba que facilite o acesso e o conhecimento do material disponível nessa área do conhecimento histórico para futuros trabalhos acadêmicos e científicos por parte dos alunos de graduação e pós-graduação da UFPR; A divulgação dessas fontes entre os professores de ensino secundário, a fim de apresentar-lhes as potencialidades dos estudos na área da História Antiga e Medieval; Dar prosseguimento ao desenvolvimento do Projeto Chronos, através da criação da seção Scriptorium , dedicada a listas e transcrição de fontes primárias.
