Welcome to the Section Toxicology. Research at Toxicology is divided into 5 themes: Theme 1: Safety evaluation of new and existing food products (novel food toxicology), Theme 2: (Diffuse) contaminants in the food chain, Theme 3: Genetic polymorphism and lifestyle as causal factors for variations in sensitivity Theme 4: Development of biomarker techniques for tracing contaminants and measuring toxic effects. Theme 5: Toxicological risk assessment.
Welcome to the section Toxicology
The department of Toxicology was founded in 1972 at Wageningen University (WU). Toxicology is now a sub-department of the Department of Agrotechnology and Food Sciences . Nevertheless, environmental toxicology in relation to the natural food chain and diffuse pollution will remain an important field of interest next to toxicology of food and nutrition. The next pages will show you in short the main aspects of our research and education . On the page employees you will find an overview of the co-workers of Toxicology and how you can reach them. The page travel info will give you information on how to travel to Toxicology. Furthermore you can find

http://www.abft.org/
The Board is a non-profit organization incorporated in the District of Columbia. Its sponsors are the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Society of Forensic Toxicologists California Association of Toxicologists Canadian Society of Forensic Science and Southwestern Association of Toxicologists The Board is composed of officers and other directors, who serve staggered terms and are selected from the Diplomates at large by a Nominating Committee process. The Mission of the ABFT Forensic toxicology encompasses the measurement of alcohol, drugs and other toxic substances in biological specimens and interpretation of such results in a medicolegal context. The purpose of the American Board of Forensic Toxicology is to establish and enhance voluntary standards for the practice of forensic toxicology and for the examination and recognition of scientists and laboratories providing forensic toxicology services.
Certification of Forensic Toxicologists
The objective of the Board is to establish, enhance, and revise as necessary, standards of qualification for individuals who practice forensic toxicology, and to certify as qualified those voluntary applicants who comply with the requirements of the Board. In this way, the Board aims to establish a practical and equitable system of readily identifying individuals who possess the requisite qualifications and competence in forensic toxicology. Certification is based upon the candidates personal and professional record of education and training, experience, achievement, and a formal written examination.

Forensic Toxicology Welcome to the World Wide Web Virtual Library: Forensic Toxicology. The Virtual Library is the Web's original index, founded by Timothy Berners-Lee. In the original spirit of the Web, it is maintained as a public service by volunteers expert in their particular fields. Forensic Toxicology is, quite literally, the use of toxicology in courts of law. This is most often understood to mean the analysis of alcohol, drugs, and poisons in body fluids and the interpretation of those analytical results for the benefit of the courts. There is considerable overlap between Forensic Toxicology and Clinical Toxicology Criminalistics Forensic Psychology Employment Drug Testing , Environmental Toxicology, Forensic Pathology , Pharmacology, Sports Medicine, and Veterinary Toxicology ; there is some overlap with the work of Poison Centers . Consequently there are few "pure" Forensic Toxicology sites on the Internet. I hope you will find those that follow to be among the most useful.
