Veterans' Eligibility List The following 295 retired players have met the eligibility criteria for the National Soccer Hall of Fame and will be candidates in the Veterans' Committee election to choose one of the Hall of Fame's 2005 inductees. These players are required to have met the same eligibility criteria as the 38 qualified for the "Modern Era" election, but all of the players on this list retired in 1993 or earlier. We know that there will be more names added to this list in the future, because of nominations received by the Hall of Fame for players from the 1960's and earlier and because of still-ongoing research by the Hall of Fame's historians into lineups from the American Soccer League. All of the players on this list have been retired long enough that they are no longer eligible for election to the Hall of Fame by the regular selection process. For purposes of the 2005 election, this means that they must have retired before 1994. Veterans' List
