Obvious front runner has to be Krissy Wendell who is widely recognized as the best in the game today. But is she the most valuable to her team? Some other candidates that come to mind are Nicole Corriero who has 42% of Harvard's total goal output,
Natalie Darwitz, Caroline Oullette, Sarah Love, Katie Weatherston, Sara Bauer,
and Noemi Marin. Any others? brookyone 12-07-2004, 12:23 PM Is it too eary to start a discussion on the Patty Kaz? Obvious front runner has to be Krissy Wendell who is widely recognized as the best in the game today. But is she the most valuable to her team?
Just in response to the most valuable to her team question regarding Krissy Wendell, I would say she probably is. At least it has appeared that way to me since the halfway point in the 03-04 season. She has to be the frontrunner at this point, but it's early. Corriero has to be a solid 2nd in contention IMO and is obviously equally valuable to her team. 12-07-2004, 12:24 PM

College Hockey Champion, Olympian to be Enshrined in Little League Hall of Excellence WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Aug. 18, 2004) – It’s only been 10 years since Krissy Wendell played in the Little League Baseball World Series. Yet, at the relatively young age of 22, she has built a stellar resume of athletic accomplishments that has earned her a place in the 2004 class of enshrinees to the Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum Hall of Excellence. As a 12-year-old catcher for American Little League from Brooklyn Park, Minn., Ms. Wendell showed an elite level of sportsmanship and competitiveness that would help her team reach Williamsport in 1994, and in the years to come, lead her to the Olympics.

I have been playing for a dozen years myself and I score in the 90s on the golf course about as often as George W. Bush did on exams. It's a relief to see that a man whose job it is to have frozen vulcanized rubber discs fired at him at 100 miles per hour 30-plus times is a hazardous task. Now, after a 13-year career that saw him play for 16 teams spanning eight leagues and four countries, the Cloverdale resident said he's hanging up his skates. "Most people have to pay to play," the 33-year-old right winger said with a smile. "What an honour it has been to be paid to play. It's one of those things that can't be taken for granted." During his career, Craighead can say that he has shared dressing room space with such National Hockey League stars as Mats Sundin, Trevor Linden, Tie Domi, Doug Gilmour, Wendell Clark, Felix Potvin, Markus Naslund, Todd Bertuzzi, Dan Cloutier, Kevin Hatcher, Peter Bondra, and Petr Skyora, among others.

The Night We Sushied the Sharks Why does the world need hockey? If we want to share our faith, we need to be students of our culture. by Neil Earle W e all have frustrations. For many Canadian males it is not making it to the NHL. I have an extra. It is not making it as a hockey announcer. Anyone groomed on the superb tonsils of Foster Hewitt, Danny Gallivan and Bob Cole will understand. "What is this, the futility bowl?" But once, oh yes, once, I came oh, so close. That's what I want to tell you about in this article. I think there are some valuable life lessons here. (At least my Editor thinks so.) Let me set the scene. In November 1990 I was halfway through a pop culture class at the University of Toronto. Vainly I had tried to use my Plain Truth Dream time at the Gardens "Tickets heyyyyrre! Get your tickets hearrrr!" It is ten minutes to three on a cold clear November afternoon in downtown Toronto and the scalpers are at it already. The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the brand new San Jose Sharks tonight and the electricity is in the air. Small crowds of young boys clustered around Carlton and Church are already sporting the teal and blue Shark sweaters complete with added shark fin. The police are there. A sound truck has moved in like a Spielbergian mother ship from
