Leafs Blow Out Habs in Saturday Night Contest by Argosy Staff The Molson Hockey Night in Canada Saturday night hockey classic on Saturday night featured two original six teamsthe Montreal Canadiens versus the Toronto Maple Leafs. In a game that saw Toronto score early and often, the Leafs humiliated the Canadiens by a score of 15-1. Peter Zezel starred for Toronto, scoring two goals, and adding five assists. Zezel is now second in the league in assists with five, and was named NHL Player of the Week for his efforts. Doug Gilmour continued to play well for Toronto, pocketing two goals, and adding two assists. It has been a tumultuous season for the Canadiens, who at this time, sit in fifth place in the Northeast Division, with a record of 5-6-2. Toronto continued its tear the rest of the week, winning all four of their games, bringing them to a record of 8-4-2. The League's hottest team has been on a scoring tear as of late, scoring thirty goals over that span. A large part of the Leafs' success can also be attributed to the resurgence of goaltender Felix Potvin. "The Cat" has been stellar between the pipes as of late with a Goals against Average of 1.50 over the last week. For the season, Potvin is sporting a .950 save percentage, making an incredible 350 saves on 367 shots. The incomparable Wayne Gretzky continues his torrent scoring pace. Over the Kings' first thirteen games, The Great One has amassed an incredible fifteen goals to go along with four assists to lead the Panthers' Jesse Belenger by three points in league scoring. Gretzky is beginning to be challenged for the goal-scoring crown by Mike Modano, who has moved up the ranks, and has now tallied thirteen goals on the season.

Playoff Calculator Click here to contact us! Every year for the playoffs, we provide a Playoff Calculator. Once the teams and matchups for the playoffs are set, there is a link from THE Hockey Pool home page labeled "Playoff Calculator". After you click on it, it prompts you to predict the winning team for each playoff round and how many games you think they will win in. Then, based on the playoff format for the year, it will present you with your predicted match-ups for the subsequent round and allow you to predict the winners again. Once your predictions are made all the way to the finals, the Calculator will look at how many games you predict each team to play in the post season. Then, based on the predicted number of games, the Calculator will compute the expected point output of each player in the post-season based on their regular season points per game. Of course, as demonstrated by experience, it takes guts to draft from the generated list, but if you really believe in your picks, it can help. Click here to see the full prediction list you would have seen if you had predicted the 99 playoffs correctly.

The last time, he played with CSKA Moscow, the once famed "Red Army" team. This time, he opted for the comfort of his unglamorous hometown, where the team, Khimik, is named for a chemical plant. Kozlov is the local hero. A banner hangs in his honor from the arena's rafters, and his photos are on display in the arena's lobby and local cafes. EMAIL THIS

His father, Anatoly, still works at the local hockey school, which is among the country's best, and his mother, sister, nieces and nephews also remain here. But there is one reason why playing for his hometown team has him missing Atlanta. His wife, son and 10-month-old daughter remain there. "I miss my family, my dogs," he said upon seeing a familiar face from Atlanta. "I play with lots of good players from the NHL and enjoy good hockey."
