New coffee alternative opens on Kenilworth
by Lauren Tilley, Photo by Lisa Johnson March 28, 2005 Right before Spring Break, Towson welcomed a new, hip location for students to get coffee and no, it's not another Starbucks. Wannago Coffee and Café opened Wednesday, March 16 on Kenilworth Drive. The establishment is the latest development from Next Shift Enterprises, LLC, an organization run by National Hockey League players. The group assists "other players and people associated with professional hockey with their transition into business after hockey," according to Next Shift's Web site. Some of the investors include David Harlock of the Philadelphia Flyers, Marty Murray of the Carolina Hurricanes and Sean Pronger of the Vancouver Canucks. Hockey players backing a coffee shop sounds pretty risky. But the result is a chic pavilion-esque café located next to the Shops at Kenilworth that makes consumers want to go to Wannago.

By Chris Parsley With the St. John’s Maple Leafs in the midst of a lengthy 10-game road trip, we thought this would be a good time to start our “Top 5 Series” on tmlfans.ca. Throughout this season we will put together a few “Top 5" lists in an attempt to stir up some of the illustrious 14-year history of the Baby Leafs in St. John’s. Different factors will be considered when compiling the different lists, but one question keeps popping up: “Who impacted the club the most, or in some cases the least, during his time in St. John’s?”. When you think of St. John’s Maple Leafs’ defencemen, who comes to mind immediately? Here are our Top 5 all-time rear guards in St. John’s Leafs history:

2000-01 Scoresheet's NHL Players List
This is the player list used LAST SEASON (for the 2000-01 NHL season).
Do NOT use this list for the hockey season beginning in October, 2001.
The new hockey player list for the 2001-02 season is now uploaded to the web. Left Wings Right Wings Centers Defensemen ... Goalies The first number is the Scoresheet Player number , the second number is his total points earned last season (using our game's formulas), the third number is his average rating per game he played last season, the fourth number is the player's age as of Opening Day, and then his current NHL team (as of 8/15/00) is shown. Players with a dash (-) after their name were unsigned as of 8/15/00. If you are turning in your draft list by e-mail you can just download this player list, and then cut and paste the player's entire line to your draft list (ending up with a draft list with players listed in the order you want to draft them). You do not have to delete anything (points, age, etc) - you can just leave the whole line as is. Go to instructions on downloading this list if you have problems.
