Goehring enters this week four wins shy of tying Mike Fountain for the Crunch's all- time mark. His career 2.62 goals against average and eight shutouts are second only to J.F. Labbe's 2.48 goals against average and 11 career shutouts. Goehring has appeared in 25 games for the Crunch this season, posting a 10-13-0 mark with a 2.63 goals against average and a .907 save percentage. His three shootout wins this season is tied for third among AHL goaltenders. A native of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Goehring led North Dakota (WCHA) to a National Championship in 1999-00, earning first-team All American. Goehring finished with a 80-20-13 record in 118 career games at North Dakota. Columbus signed Goehring as a free agent on May 7, 2001. | |
