This would be a great move for Utah. VanHorn when healthy is a 20 point a game scorer with a bad point guard. Marshall is not going to resign with Utah so that essentially means you get VanHorn for Russell and a first round pick. The first round pick will be a late pick rendering it Useless. So essentially the trade is Russell for VanHorn, and chances are VanHorn will stay in Utah. VanHorn is the kind of player that can do everything and will help the Jazz. PS The reason Marshall flurished is he was playing with Stockton. Stockton makes the big guys a lot better.

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The NBA on NBC is a former TV show that televised NBA games on NBC , and was produced by NBC Sports . In the season, NBC succeeded CBS Sports as the official American TV broadcaster of the NBA. It all started on November 9 when the NBA and NBC reached an agreement on a four-year, 600 million contract. On April 28 , NBC extended their exclusive broadcast rights to the NBA with a four-year, $750 million contract. The catchy, dramatic, and melodic theme song Roundball Rock was composed by New Ager John Tesh . The song is today often used by NBA TV for their live, game coverage. During the closing credits for NBC's coverage of the NBA Finals , they would regularly play the motivational rock song Winning It All , by The Outfield Jim Fagan is still today NBC Sports' announcer. Deron Washington signs with Tech November 17, 2003
BLACKSBURG, Va. Virginia Tech men's basketball coach Seth Greenberg has announced the signing of Deron Washington to a national letter of intent for the 2004-05 academic year. Washington is a 6-7 wing player from DePere, Wisc. and is a senior at National Christian Academy in Ft. Washington, Md. He averaged 11.5 points per game and made 65 three-pointers for National Christian last season. He missed nine games in the middle of last season due to a broken wrist. "Deron Washington is one of the elite athletes in the country," Greenberg said. "He's 6-7 and is as quick off the ground as any player we saw this past summer. Although slight of build, Deron plays extremely hard and displayed great toughness this summer, playing with a dislocated shoulder. "He's quick, extremely athletic and has the ability to get to the basket. He's very similar to the type of wing players I've had in the past, Bryon Russell, Lucious Harris and Altron Jackson." Washington is ranked #87 by HoopScoop and #124 nationally by Rivals.com. Washington is ranked the No. 2 wing forward by Maryland Prep Hoops.com. He is the son of former NFL player Lionel Washington, currently an assistant coach with the Green Bay Packers.

a Little Extra ‘Pomp and Circumstance'
Commencement at California State University, Long Beach had a little more "Pomp and Circumstance" than usual this year. CSULB conferred bachelor´s and master´s degrees to more than 6,000 graduates, including legendary Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg and NBA basketball player Bryon Russell of the Utah Jazz, in nine separate ceremonies that took place over three days.
On Friday morning (May 31), Spielberg lined up with some 500 other graduates in the College of the Arts commencement ceremony to receive his bachelor's degree in film and electronic arts with an option in film and video production. Spielberg began work toward his degree at Cal State Long Beach in 1965, but left the university three years later to pursue what he hoped would be a successful professional career in filmmaking. The following year his 22-minute short, "Amblin," was shown at the Atlanta Film Festival, which led to his becoming the youngest director ever to be signed to a long-term contract with a major Hollywood studio. Having already taken a majority of degree requirements while a student in the mid-1960s, Spielberg was determined to demonstrate his regard for college education by completing his degree at Long Beach. He re-enrolled in the university's Department of Film and Electronic Arts in spring 2001.
