BREAKING NEWS: Kurt Rambis originally cast for 'Slap Shot'. In a recent development on the Hollywood front, the original cast of Slap Shot was supposed to include Kurt Rambis as one of the long-haired enforcer Hanson Brothers. Seems that originally the three were supposed to be played by three actual hockey Foilin' up. players playing for a Pennsylvania hockey team called the Johnstown Jets. Jeff, Steve, and Jack Carlson were to play the three thick spectacled goons, when Jack was called up by Edmonton. Needing a quick replacement, the screen writer scrambled to find someone Mmmbop, Rambisoodadoowap. that would fit the bill. Kurt Rambis, with his long hair and thick glasses, fit the part perfectly and things were off and running. Shortly after filming began, Kurt injured his wrist in a freak eyeglass taping accident and again the staff was forced to fill the void. This time they settled on Dave Hanson, another Jets player. | |
