Greetings from Cherokee Chapter. We just returned from our 2005 Annual Conclave held July 6-10 at the Kentucky Leadership Center near Jabez, Kentucky. We had twelve DeMolay in attendance. Cherokee Chapter was named the “Chapter of the Year” for 2004-2005. Brother Tim Wemes was installed as Deputy State Master Councilor. In addition, several Cherokee members were installed in appointed State offices as follows: Matt Wemes, State Junior Deacon; Eric Feldpausch, State Senior Steward; Kevin Fautz, State Chaplain; Chris Hirsbrunner, State Marshal; Pat Wemes, State Standard Bearer, and Ben Pifer, State Scribe. The Elected Officers of the C. Frye Haley Memorial Priory from Cherokee Chapter were installed and our very own Kevin Fautz is now Squire Commander. Jeff Bryant was installing officer and led the team installing Rick Lewis as the new Illustrious Knight Commander. The Knighthood welcomes Eric Feldpausch and Chris Hirsbrunner as our newest Sir Knights. We have watched these two grow up!! The Past Master Councilor-Meritorious Service Award was presented at the Annual Conclave to Brother Brian Woodring. Cherokee worked very hard to help Brian achieve this award. Brian is one of the last three Master Councilor’s to earn this award. Normally, this award would be presented at a chapter meeting. However, it was presented before Brian became a Senior DeMolay.
