Jeremey Marks, the lead assistant coach for the past five years, will be leaving to begin work on his second Masters degree, in Physical Education, at Old Dominion University. In addition to his academic work, Marks will also be an intern on the Monarchs mens basketball staff. David Doino, a VWC assistant coach last year and a former Marlin standout player, will move into the lead assistants role for Marlins head coach Dave Macedo. Brad Dunleavy will also remain on staff, beginning his second year as an assistant with the Marlins. "Jeremey has been my top assistant for the past five years and has helped take our program to new heights," said Macedo, who has guided the Marlins to a 94-42 record with Marks as his lead assistant. "His hard work, dedication, and loyalty make him a special person and an asset to any program. He has been a key worker in our success and we here at Virginia Wesleyan only wish him well. I can guarantee he is going to help Old Dominion continue its winning ways." | |
