1. Stuart Scott ( Defeated Scott Van Pelt, 123-8 The Case Against: "Stuart Scott has done more to ruin my enjoyment of ESPN than almost anyone I can think of (though, with 56 names still to go, that will probably be proven wrong)." UCCF "Stu Scott is a mindless, characterless buffoon who endlessly repeats tired "urban" catchphrases for his corporate masters at Disney/ESPN. What's next, Stu? "Throw ya hands in tha air and wave 'em like ya just don't care"? What year is this? Stu Scott: Setting black culture back another couple years each night at 11." Philly Bill "Inane commentator with the same likeability as persistent nasal discharge. Hosts the worst shows I've ever seen, with names like "Top 25 Screwups by Concession Stand Personnel" that repeat ALL DAY! Seen WAY too much on TV in airport bars." Jenny "When I die and go to hell, I imagine that the only ESPN feed available will feature all Stuart Scott all the time. What, you mean ESPN practically does that now? Perhaps I'm already in hell." Dates
February 9, 1961, Charleston, West Virgina.
Biography John Martin Kruk started his major league career with the San Diego Padres in 1986. In 1989 he was traded to the Philedelphia Phillies, where he became a full time player. He spent 5 1/2 seasons in Philedelphia, including their improbable World Series run in 1993. In 1995, his final season, Kruk played for the Chicago White Sox. He finsihed his career with a .300 batting average, 100 home runs, and 592 runs batted in. Over his career, Kruk appeared in three All-Star games, starting one. Possibly his most notorius moment came during the 1993 All-Star game, when he faced then-Seattle Mariner Randy Johnson, who stands 6' 10" tall, throws 95+ miles per hour, and has a bit of a wild streak at times. Johnson's first pitch came sailing right for Kruk's head. Kruk flailed at the next three pitches (all right down the middle of the plate) as he was diving out of the batter's box making sure not to get hit. After the game, Kruk said "I wasn't going to let him hit me while I was stationary.
It would be embarrassing to die on national TV."

Hearing the Raveonettes John Kruk Has a Fat Mouth
Yesterday Vernon Wells loafed after a Miguel Tejada basehit to center and Miggi stretched it into a double. Wells was so lazy on the play that Baseball Tonight's John Kruk went on a minute-long diatribe about how Blue Jays manager John Gibbons should've yanked Wells right away, chewed him out, benched him, etc., etc. Kruk made a good point, and he made it emphatically. It was fun to watch him get red in the face, and it was unintentionally hilarious considering that Kruk was a fat tub of [bleep] when he played. The guy only had three 500 at-bat seasons and retired at 34. Give me an in-shape player like Wells (or Manny Ramirez) who gets caught loafing occasionaly anyday over a tubby dude who gives it all on the field but very little off of it. Seriously, how many of the best players are fat?

RANDY JOHNSON
Like Sandy Koufax, Johnson battled control problems early in his career before finally developing into the most dominant pitcher in the game. But unlike Koufax, Johnson's arm shows no signs of stoppage, having earned four straight Cy Young Awards through 2002. In the 2001 World Series, Johnson became the first pitcher in 35 years to win three games in the Fall Classic, as he led the D'Backs to a championship in just their fourth season.
Johnson is the tallest man (6'10") to ever play in the major leagues, and the combination of his height and tremendous fastball intimidate opposing batters. In 1990 he threw the first no-hitter in Mariners' history, and in 1997 he became that teams' first 20-game winner. After nearly a decade in Seattle, he was traded to the Houston Astros before the July 1998 trade deadline, as the Mariners made the decision not to pursue him as a free agent at the end of the season. After a 10-1, 1.28 ERA performance for Houston that helped them to the post-season, Johnson signed with Arizona as a free agent in the 1998 off-season.
Nicknames
"Big Unit" - Johnson is the tallest player (6'10") in Major League Baseball history.
