days hours min. sec. Top 10 baseball players of the 20th Century nominated These baseball players received the most votes in a JS Online poll last week. The poll asked people to nominate the top 10 baseball players of the 20th Century. Not everyone offered 10 items. You can comment on these choices in the attached message board Nearly 3,000 votes were cast for the top baseball players of the 20th Century. The top six vote getters are Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Joe DiMaggio, Willie Mays, Ted Williams and Ty Cobb. Some people, intentionally or otherwise, voted for basketball stars like Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Bob Lanier, and some picked Bugs Bunny and Alfred E. Neuman as their top choice.. Needless to say, these polls aren't scientific, but they're fun. Dan Patrinos, JSO content editor

Baseball Fever National League Cincinnati Reds PDA View Full Version : Gahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ravenlord 12-17-2003, 09:28 AM Adam Dunn - OF - Cincinnati Reds Dec 16
The Reds may have offered Adam Dunn to the Dodgers for top prospect Edwin Jackson.
Jackson is a great prospect, but the Dodgers shouldn't hesitate to make this trade if they have the chance. Dunn can get on base and hit balls out of Dodger Stadium, so he's exactly what the team needs. Source: Dayton Daily News
if this be true, the honeymoon period for Dan O'Brien is over. hammy 12-17-2003, 10:50 AM I can't imagine the Dodgers would do this trade, especially after trading Kevin Brown and likely trading Odalis Perez in the near future.
As a Reds fan, I won't lose any sleep over trading Adam Dunn. He has a 50% chance of being great, and a 50% chance of being the next Dave Kingman or Rob Deer. Edwin Jackson would be a great addition.
If the trade does happen, it's a damn shame that the Reds waited until quality OF like Kenny Lofton, Reggie Sanders, Matt Stairs, and Jose Guillen were already signed. Ravenlord 12-17-2003, 11:46 AM
