On May 26, 1992, Fisk, who was recovering from bone spur surgery, played a rehab game at Coveleski Stadium. Manager Terry Francona penciled the big league star in the White Sox' cleanup slot against Madison. Fisk rewarded 3,147 fans by leading the Sox to victory over the Muskies. In the first inning, Pudge took aim at the synagogue down the left field line and poked a long home run. Baserunners Glenn DiSarcina and Troy Fryman (brothers of big leaguers, both) scored ahead of Fisk, and SB never lost the lead. The visitor drew a walk in his next appearance, and hit a long fly center. This game was the highlight of the SBSox' season.
