NCAA Game Summary - Louisville At Houston
POSTED: 10:46 pm EST November 20, 2004 Houston, TX Stefan LeFors threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns, while Eric Shelton ran for three more scores, as eighth-ranked Louisville posted a 65-27 victory over Houston in a Conference USA showdown at Robertson Stadium. LeFors completed 18-of-22 passes and was intercepted once for the Cardinals (8-1, 6-0 C-USA), who won for the fourth straight time and remained in the driver's seat for a Liberty Bowl berth. Joshua Tinch racked up 148 yards and a touchdown on five catches, while Adam McCauley had a pair of touchdown grabs in the win. "(The game) was a little rough in the middle," said Cardinals head coach Bobby Petrino, whose troops scored the final 30 points after Houston cut Louisville's lead to 35-27 early in the fourth quarter. "(The Cougars) have a unique offense, one of the hardest to prepare for."

Chairman/Owner
St. Louis Rams chairman and owner, Georgia Frontier, is a pillar in the St. Louis community and beyond. Her philanthropy was punctuated in 1997, when she and Vice Chairman Stan Kroenke created the St. Louis Rams Foundation. Since then, the Rams and Rams Foundation have contributed more than $5 million to charities in the St. Louis region.
Georgia’s dedication to the advancement of youth is underscored by her commitment of $1 million to the Fulfillment Fund, an organization that sponsors more than 2,000 high school students who are selected for having college potential, but whose financial opportunities are limited. She also provides college scholarships through the Rams Media Guide Cover Art Competition, which she began in 1992. The competition seeks student artists, ranging from kindergarten to age 21, to create the cover design for the Rams annual media guide.

Marshall Thundering Herd Marshall Thundering Herd - History RELATED LINKS Click Here For Marshall Tickets - Offers Thundering Herd tickets, schedule, stadium at Marshall and team history. Why The Thundering Herd?
The Thundering Herd is American folklore ... as old as the buffalo that roam the western plains. The Herd once provided nearly every substance needed for human survival, including food, clothing, tools and weapons. The Herd still provides Marshall University's athletic teams with their nickname.
"Thundering Herd" has long been recognized by sports enthusiasts as one of the great, distinctive nicknames in college athletics. But on several occasions throughout Marshall's history other nicknames have been suggested and, on occasion, been hung on the school.
The first nickname of record is Indians, a moniker bestowed upon the pre-1900 athletic teams. By about 1910, sparked by the color of team uniforms, Big Green began to be used in reference to Marshall athletics. Criticized by some from its inception as being boring, Big Green was soon ripe for replacement.
When Huntington Herald-Dispatch sportswriter Duke Ridgley referred to a late-1920s squad as a Thundering Herd, after a then-current movie based on the 1925 Zane Gray novel of the same name, it caught on quickly. Both Thundering Herd and Big Green have been used in reference to Marshall ever since.
