KNOWN TO SOME AS THE NASCAR division, the NFC South was supposed to be one of the NFL's weakest links last season. Instead, it ended up producing the Super Bowl champion (the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), along with another playoff team (the Atlanta Falcons) and two dangerous squads opponents didn't want to catch on a good day (the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers). The NFC South should be just as strong in 2003, with Tampa Bay poised to defend its rifle, Atlanta's Michael Vick remaining as quick and elusive as ever, and Carolina and New Orleans eyeing possible wild card berths in the playoffs.

2005 Draft Preview: Wide Receivers

The value of a productive receiver seems to grow every year in Fantasy Football circles, and so it seems in the real world of professional football as well. Larry Fitzgerald, Roy Williams and Reggie Williams were each selected among the top nine picks last season, marking the first time three receivers had been selected among the top nine since the NFL draft began in 1982. And in 2003, Charles Rogers was drafted second and Andre Johnson third, the only draft in which two receivers were chosen among the first three.

2005 Draft Preview: Defense

The pride and joy of the incoming linebacking corps is undoubtedly Derrick Johnson of Texas. This 6-foot-4, 230-pound stud can run sideline to sideline with any NFL running back and is a sound enough tackler to hold his own in the middle. Johnson has a knack for forcing fumbles. He doesn't give up when in pursuit and often jars tha ball loose from behind. He's also a skilled in coverage and has the soft hands required to pull down interceptions. Look for comparisons to Derrick Brooks and maybe even Lawrence Taylor to pop up during the season. Many believe he'd be a nice fit in Oakland or Kansas City.

But through it all, his faith and commitment to the team has never wavered, and it has made him the best player ever to pull on a Buccaneers uniform as voted by readers of Pro Football Weekly and ProFootballWeekly.com. Disappointed with the play of WRs Jake Schifino and Eddie Berlin on kick returns, Titans head coach Jeff Fisher has placed WR Derrick Mason on KR-PR duty. Mason responded with one of his best games of the season. He not only amassed 59 yards on punt returns and 106 on kickoff returns but also 137 receiving yards. PFW: Would you recommend starting Mason?
