Caviglia came to FCC in 1999 after three-years as Chabot College's head coach where he posted a 22-10 record. His seven-year record as a community college head football coach is 69-18. In each of his 5 years his teams have played for the Valley Conference Championship. In 2000 and 2001, his Rams posted back-to-back 10-1 records and won Valley Conference championships.
