44. Ohio Planetariums
The Astronomy Network of Ohio was started by Jay Ryan and is your one stop source of Ohio Astronomy.
http://ano.wro.org/planet.htm
Ohio Planetariums Planetariums create an "artificial sky" that can simulate the appearance of the starry sky, a worthwhile alternative to stargazing during the day and on cloudy nights. Planetariums can be a great tool for learning many elements of astronomy, including the constellations, the geometry of the sky, and the cycles of the Sun, Moon and planets. Also, planetariums are always bringing out new shows, so there's no ends to the benefits of regularly attending your local planetarium. Use the following list to find the planetarium in your area, and to learn the times of shows and coming events. If your planetarium would like to update its listing, please send the changes to webmaster@wro.org

The Cassini-Huygens mission is of great interest to museums, planetariums and science centers around the country. The year 2002 marks the 40th anniversary of planetary exploration, and has sparked museums and planetariums to display exhibits and other materials featuring the wonders of space exploration and space science. The widespread celebration now offers more and more opportunities for space aficionados to get a close-up view of their favorite space mission, or learn about the many events and programs JPL is involved with around the country.

    56. The Solar System Ambassador Program
A public outreach program designed to work with motivated volunteers across the nation who organize and conduct public events that communicate exciting discoveries and plans for exploration in Solar System research and technology through nontraditional forums, e.g. Rotary Clubs, libraries, museums, planetariums, star parties, and mall displays.

The Solar System Ambassadors Program is a public outreach program designed to work with motivated volunteers across the nation. These volunteers communicate the excitement of JPL's space exploration missions and information about recent discoveries to people in their local communities. There are now 459 Ambassadors in 50 states and Puerto Rico bringing the excitement of space to the public. Ambassadors are space enthusiasts from various walks of life who are interested in providing greater service and inspiration to the community at large. The Solar System Ambassadors Program builds on and expands the outstanding efforts undertaken by the Galileo mission since 1997. Because of the success of the original Galileo Ambassadors program, JPL missions exploring Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Asteroids, Comets, Earth, the Sun and the Universe now come together to expand the program's scope to the Solar System and beyond. The Solar System Ambassadors Program is sponsored by the JET PROPULSION LABORATORY in Pasadena, CA, an operating division of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and a lead research and development center for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
