Steven van Zandt (born November 22 as Steven Lento in Boston, Massachusetts ) is an American musician actor , and radio disk jockey . "I think being an autobiographical songwriter was helpful to acting, because you're always trying to discover the truth about yourself, and some of the same things apply to acting," explained Van Zandt who has been honored twice by the United Nations for his human rights achievements Raised in New Jersey, he had a strict upbringing and described his father as "a Goldwater Republican ex-Marine." Van Zandt met Springsteen in the early 70s and the rest is history While touring with the Boss, "Miami Steve" is the essence of cool. He wears his trademark bandana to cover hair that didn't grow back properly after a car accident over 20 years ago. But while the spirit was willing, the pipes were weak; Silvio ended up managing topless dancers instead. All that is not to say that Silvio is incapable of violence. When a Bing dancer once failed to show up for work, Silvio retrieved her by her hair. At times he's advised Tony to eliminate rivals by having them killed, and he personally participated in the murder of Pussy Bonpensiero. But, outside of a poker game - he's infamous for becoming abusive when he's losing - Silvio rarely loses control of himself. His is the cooler head that Tony often counts on to prevail.

I first saw the Stones on TV, on Hollywood Palace It was completely unique: a white performer doing it in a black way. Elvis Presley did it. But the next guy was Jagger. There were no other white boys doing this. White singers stood there and sang, like the Beatles. The thing we associate with black performers goes back to the church letting the spirit physically move you, letting go of social restraints, any form of embarrassment or humiliation. Not being in control: That's what Mick Jagger was communicating. There were a few James Brown and Tina Turner dance moves in there. But James Brown was very choreographed. Those strange moves Jagger was doing they were of the spirit. Iggy Pop and Jim Morrison took it to another level, but all that came from Jagger. In the beginning, it was Brian Jones' band. He named them. He managed them got the gigs and wrote to the paper when they got bad reviews. The attitude and aggressiveness they first came from him. And the tradition came from him.
